– GRB’s 5th Anniversary Party. CHEERS TO 5 YEARS! Tasty Tuesdays are a super fun way to experience multiple Downtown restaurants all in one night! You get hearty sample sizes with each ticket, and move from place to place at your own pace! – Fire on the Lake Chili Cook-Off. This is a fun filled family weekend. Chili Cook Teams will compete in an International Chili Society (ICS) sanctioned event in the following categories: Traditional Red, Homestyle, Verde Chili, Salsa, People’s Choice Chili. A craft show will also begin at noon. General Admission is free for people who attend, and $20 for People’s Choice – Chili Tasting. Cook Teams: $25 per category. – CommunityFest Winter Haven. A family fun festival presented by Citizens Bank & Trust and the Greater Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce, is a free festival aimed at giving families a chance to enjoy a day-in-the-park with complimentary games and activities, businesses the chance to give back to the community by setting up a booth with activities and more! Sat, 9-4 pm. Located downtown Winter Haven’s South Central, Central and Virginia Miller Parks. OCT 10 – Annual Oktoberfest at Grove Roots. The brewery will be transformed into a German beer hall complete with live polka, schnitzels, brats, homemade pretzels, hair braiding, stein hoisting competition, and lots of beer! So, grab your friends and celebrate like a Bavarian! Local Florida breweries will be joining in on the fun and pouring their signature and Oktoberfest style beers. Come hungry! You can grab a traditional German dish or a bite of BBQ from a local vendor. If you are in the mood for wine, grab a glass of Riesling at the wine tent.
