Get a panoramic view of the 1000 Islands & St. Lawrence River from any of the three observation decks of the 1000 ISLANDS TOWER ON HILL ISLAND. What an incredible photo opportunity from 130 meters (400’) in the air! If you are looking for something sweet other than the view, then visit the ICE CREAM SHOP where you can get flavours like Strawberry ‘n Cream, Moosetrack, or Blue Bubble Gum.

THOUSAND ISLAND BICYCLE CO. will guide you through the quiet of the back city streets to see 19th century mansions and historic churches. Hear the stories of the original inhabitants of our beautiful river city with the breeze in your face, while on one of the coolest-looking bikes in town.

Enjoy a game at Brockville’s oldest eighteen hole golf course and one of Eastern Ontario’s best. Locally owned by the Guy family, the HIGHLAND GOLF CLUB welcomes you whether you are a beginner or expert. As you approach the first tee off and see how tall the trees are that border the fairways and back of the greens, you know a challenge awaits you.

Known for: 11km (6.8 miles) of trails crossing woodland, wetland and field areas.
2. Jones Creek
(Thousand Islands National Park)
Drive time: 15 minutes Known for: Viewpoint over Jones Creek, rocky forest.
3. Landon Bay
(Thousand Islands National Park)
Drive time: 35 minutes Known for: Breathtaking views over Landon Bay and the St. Lawrence River. 5 different trails, and on one you’ll find a “Wishing Tree”.
4. Limerick Forest
Drive Time: 35 Minutes
Known for: 3 km (1.8 miles) Chalet Loop nature trail, including a boardwalk.
5. Charleston Lake Provincial Park
Drive time: 40 mins
Known For: Large trail network, ranging from easy to hard hikes.
6. Blue Mountain
(at Charleston Lake)
Drive time: 40 minutes Known for: A scenic lookout located at the highest point in Leeds County.
7. Rock Dunder
Drive Time: 45 minutes Known for: A soaring panoramic lookout over the Rideau Waterway.
8. Marble Rock Conservation Area
Drive time: 45 minutes
Known for: Great views, exposed bedrock.
9. Rideau Trail
Drive Time: 45 minutes (beginning from Smith Falls or Merrickville) Known for: beginners experiencing multi-day hikes in the back country.
10. Upper Canada Bird Sanctuary
Drive time: 45 minutes Known for: 8 km (5 miles) of self-guided walking trails. Hint: the chickadees get hungry in the winter, so bring some sunflower seeds!
