DRIVING TO PORT COLBORNE Port Colborne is an hour from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), 30 minutes from Niagara Falls and St. Catharines, and only 20 minutes from the Peace Bridge crossing between Fort Erie, Ontario and Buffalo, New York. Hwy 3, a heritage highway linking Niagara with the agricultural communities of Southwestern Ontario and the Windsor-Detroit border crossing, bisects the community. Visitors driving from Toronto via the QEW can reach Port Colborne by taking Hwy. 406 south to Hwy. 140. Regional Road 20 links Niagara Falls with Hwy. 406 and Hwy. 140.
NAVIGATING TO PORT COLBORNE Port Colborne is located at 42° 53’N, 79° 14’W. Large pleasure craft may use the Welland Canal connecting Lake Ontario with Lake Erie. The canal is open to navigation from March to December. When approaching the harbour from the lake or canal, use VHF ch#68 for navigational and docking assistance.
