After creating magical days for others, this wedding planner (Ever After by Justine) finally had her big day! Wearing a Pronovias gown, Justine exchanged vows with Allen at Halekulani Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii in a fun, laidback event filled with good food, good music and 25 guests.

Professional Advice

“Once you have a date, let guests know ASAP,” says the bride. “It takes time and money to attend a destination wedding and people need to plan it in advance.”

FOODIE FUN: e bride is a big foodie, so the menu was over the top. ey passed hors d’oeuvres such as crab cakes with tobiko aioli and a canapé of foie gras mousse with tru e. ere were also antipasto stations featuring hand-carved watermelon lled with fruit salad, peking duck station and kiawe grill station with lamb chops and shrimp. Justine says, “Most of the guests were from Canada so they actually thought the cocktail hour was the reception because there was so much food!”

TROPICAL DÉCOR:

Florals (by Flowergirls Hawaii) consisted of birds of paradise, anthuriums, Hibiscus and Protea. As for the dinner reception, a mix of bright emerald goblets and brown rattan chargers with gold cutleries really set a tone for a warm, intimate tropical get-together.
