Holding the prestigious titles of Director of Emergency Management and Chief of Emergency Preparedness, he has carved out a reputation for steadfast leadership, underpinned by an enduring commitment to safeguarding the community. His foray into public administration commenced in 1992 with the Nassau County Fire and Rescue Department, where his innate leadership qualities soon became evident. By 1997, his journey brought him to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. With determination and a spirit of service, he climbed the departmental ranks, eventually holding the pivotal role of Special Operations Training Manager, where he mentored and guided multiple teams through diverse and challenging terrains. Over the decades, his multifaceted roles have demanded coordinating emergency responses, streamlining crucial emergency protocols, and the pioneering establishment of the nation's inaugural drive-thru testing site for COVID-19. Ever the scholar, his educational journey is marked by Master's degrees in Business and Public Administration. His academic pursuits didn't stop there; he secured a Graduate Executive Certificate in Public Administration and is ardently working towards his Ph.D. in the discipline. Complementing his academic accolades are esteemed certifications from respected entities such as the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association and the International Association of Emergency Managers.
