Innovation A few years ago I met a great Italian entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Directa Plus, a company that manufactures Graphene. This revolutionary new material was in theory the best material known in the world of science. It has been a unique and complex journey ever since we started to collaborate, and in this catalog you will find the result of a major milestone we have achieved together: Graphene revolutionizing the performance of Vittoria tires and wheels!

GRAPHENE EXPLAINED
GRAPHENE EXPLAINED Graphene is a revolutionary material in the form of a very thin, nearly transparent sheet of pure carbon. In its extreme form it is as thin as a single atom (1/1,000,000,000th of a meter). Vittoria uses Directa Plus Graphene called G+, which is 2 to 8 atoms thin.
The benefits of Graphene: 1 - Enormous surface area: 1 gram = around 2,630 m2 that can facilitate any chemical process 2 - High mechanical resistance: approximately 200 times stronger than steel 3 - High thermal conductibility: more than 2 times that of a diamond 4 - Less density: is equal to half that of aluminum 5 - High elasticity: equal to 6 times that of steel 6 - High electrical conductibility, transparency, lightness, flexibility and mechanical resistance
Vittoria’s use of pristine Graphene In short, Vittoria only uses the most premium form of Graphene (pristine) in order to unlock the greatest possible improvements for all our products. This pristine Graphene Vittoria uses, in comparison to other forms of Graphene, offers 4 to 6 times greater improvements for the material it is applied to (carbon for wheels, rubber for tires). Vittoria decided to also become a shareholder in Directa Plus to stay connected to their research and development competence, which is needed to be a part of the most advanced material research.
Vittoria and Graphene: IT’S and no compromise With the application of Graphene in Vittoria wheels and tires, we have truly developed revolutionary products. Therefore, we have created a new product range called the “Intelligent Tire System” (IT’S).
Vittoria tires are now intelligent. IT’S compounds become harder and softer, depending on the needs of the rider. If the tire is rolling straight, the rubber is at its hardest and offers low rolling resistance. If the rider breaks, accelerates or corners, the compounds soften and offer significantly more grip.

NO COMPROMISE. Prior to the advanced development of Graphene, there was always the requirement of choosing between optimizing, or aiming at, speed, grip, durability and puncture protection. Effectively, the introduction of Graphene allows for natural material barriers of rubber to be removed, which means that there is no longer the need for such compromises between speed, grip, durability and puncture resistance. All these features are now reaching their maximum possibilities.

SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF IMPROVEMENT The Corsa range
The Corsa Speed (Tubeless ready) has been measured at 40% less rolling resistance compared to the same product without pristine Graphene. Vittoria has done elaborate independent testing that clearly proves it is the fastest tire in the world. Lab tests have shown a 32 second speed advantage over the nearest competitor after 50 kilometers.

The Corsa has 19% less rolling resistance compared to the same product without pristine Graphene, also showing superior grip and durability. In combination with the most flexible Aramid-enhanced cotton casing ever developed this product is the best performance tire in the world (overall).
The Rubino range The Rubino family benefits from Graphene in greatly improved (wet) grip, durability and puncture resistance. This has led to the Rubino Pro becoming the best all-round tire. It also facilitated the development of several special purpose products in this Series.
The MTB products All  MTB tires developed with Graphene demonstrate greatly increased knob strength, long-wearing durability and confidence-inspiring (wet) grip. The new Morsa is a multi-condition Enduro and Downhill tire, ready to meet the most demanding conditions. The new Mezcal is the ultimate cross-country tire with its low rolling resistance, effective braking and climbing edges.
The Electric bicycle tire range Vittoria also launches an optimized range for electric bikes. The use of Graphene allows for longer battery life in urban usage, due to greatly reduced rolling resistance. The new Revolution offers fast-rolling comfort on any bicycle and truly excels on e-bikes. Furthermore, with the application of Graphene, the increased strength allows the tires to resist damaging the tread due to acceleration torque of MTB electric engines as introduced in e-Goma and e-Barzo.
Vittoria Wheels Vittoria has long been famous for its tires. We applied the millions of kilometers in racing experience to understand exactly what is needed to make wheels and tires work perfectly together. Vittoria wheels show a superior behavior in heat dissipation in general and in the brake area specifically, which is a huge improvement for rider safety on full carbon wheels. Additionally, Vittoria wheels offer much greater strength all around (up to 50%!) as a direct result of the added Graphene. Rather than adding weight, Vittoria manages to reduce it significantly.

TECH CORESPUN - casing Vittoria’s cotton technology Vittoria is the world’s leading manufacturer of tires with cotton Corespun casing. The sublime performance of Vittoria tires and tubulars is the product of years of experience, R&D, and advanced production technology. At its heart is our mastery of fine-cotton Corespun production. Simply put, the finer the Corespun fabric, the more supple the tire casing. The casing conforms closer to the road’s surface, providing a smoother ride, easier rolling, and better grip. The grade of fabric used in a tire’s casing is expressed in threads-per-inch (TPI): the higher the TPI number, the finer the threads, the denser the weave, and the suppler the tire. Uniquely, Vittoria makes casings with 320 TPI Corespun yarn—the finest available.
Vittoria cotton casings differ in thread size and additive content, according to intended use: Corespun T 320 TPI utilizes the finest thread available, exclusive to Vittoria. This special 320 TPI fabric makes for the lightest, supplest, and fastest casing ever, to sustain the highest pressures used on track. Corespun K 320 TPI has a mixture of Kevlar®** threads for casings where strength is of the essence. Corespun 320 TPI is our most advanced Corespun casing, made of the finest poly-cotton thread with no added Kevlar®**. Corespun 290 TPI is a high-TPI cotton with polyester yarn, producing a flexible, strong casing sustaining high pressures and offering outstanding performance and comfort. Cotton 220 TPI Cotton is the traditional material of high-quality racing tubulars. Vittoria uses the finest grade of natural cotton, 220 TPI, in a diverse range of top-class tubulars.
NYLON casing Nylon is a robust and durable artificial fiber traditionally used for strong tire casings. The artificial fiber can be very light but is not as supple as Corespun. Our Nylon casings set a new standard in their class. Vittoria offers casings in Nylon 180 TPI, 150 TPI, 120 TPI, Nylon 60 TPI, and Nylon 26 TPI, each equipping tires at its respective point on the price-performance scale, and all conferring the Vittoria characteristics of comfort, speed, and good handling.
TPI Vittoria tires and tubulars range from 26 TPI to 320 TPI. Riders in search of higher performance are more likely to choose higher-TPI tires. For many sporting riders, folding tires of around 150 TPI are a good all-round combination of weight, rolling resistance, durability, and comfort. A higher TPI brings the benefit of lower weight and rolling resistance, at the expense of durability. Riders aiming to play harder seek out tubulars and open tubulars with the maximum flexibility of high TPI casings.
CONSTRUCTION TUBULAR The tread is glued by hand on the casing, a labor-intensive process exclusively used for premium tubulars. The tubular tire’s round profile gives it several advantages over any clincher. Cornering is more predictable and shock absorption is superior. Also, the broad glued interface to the rim spreads shock loads more evenly through the casing, letting the tire absorb big hits without deflecting or slowing down.

Vittoria open tubular The open tubular has exactly the same production process and properties as the tubular, except for the sown-in inner tube. Open tubulars are handmade with Aramid folding bead for optimal clinching.
Vittoria open tubular, tubeless ready The open tubular TLR shares the same production process and properties as the open tubular, with the addition of a stronger bead material. For optimal safety, this construction is designed to withstand 18 bar of pressure on a standard alloy tubeless rim.
COMPOUNDS A tire’s tread compound, together with its casing, determines how well it holds the road. Vittoria tirelessly researches new compounds to give riders tires with even better performance, grip and longer life, in all conditions.
G+ Isotech®* is Vittoria’s unique Graphene compound with revolutionary G+*, as provided by technology partner Directa Plus. No compromise is necessary with this compound that is superior in speed (rolling resistance), grip, durability and wear resistance.
Isogrip® is our reference-standard performance road compound with a focus on (wet) grip, improved year by year to keep it at the forefront of race technology. Kevlar®* SiO2 is our standard high-performance road compound. It has high silica (SiO2) content and a mixture of microscopic Kevlar®* particles, for outstanding all–conditions grip, low rolling resistance, and high mileage. Kevlar®* 3D is Vittoria’s original high-performance and durable formulation with added Kevlar®*, and goes into the tread of all our 220 TPI all-cotton tubulars. Endura is a compound designed for durability, used for endurance applications such as high-mileage training, where cost really matters. Great tread-life comes at a small penalty in wet grip.
4 Compounds (4C) is exclusively developed by Vittoria to achieve performance products without compromise. Vittoria 4C is a layering process, using 4 separate compounds in the same tread. The 4C process offers unmatched versatility, by allowing for separate base and surface compounds, in both the center and side areas of the tread. Benefiting from the different properties of each compound, including the G+ Isotech*, their distribution is extensively tested to deliver the best products imaginable. 3 Compounds (3C) is applied by Vittoria to deliver all-round products without compromise. Vittoria 3C is a layering process, using 3 separate compounds in the same tread. The different properties of each compound, including the G+ Isotech*, allow for the improved experience in all circumstances.

TECH 1 Vittoria off-road tires are made from 4 key components: Bead, Casing, Compound, and Tread. Each component of the system is specifically designed to maximize

performance for the intended use. Only the highest quality materials are used, and each tire is made to industry-leading quality control specifications.

The tread is product-specific. The bead, casing and compound technologies are explained below.

The Bead of the tire is the interface that connects the tire to the rim. The core of the Bead is typically made from Steel or Kevlar®** cord.
Tubeless Ready • A tubeless ready bead allows the tire to be used either with a tube, or with just tire sealant (no tube). • It is chosen for its unique shape, which locks into the rim wall, to provide an airtight seal. • The Tubeless Ready Bead core is made from Kevlar®**. • Sometimes referred to as “TR” or “TRB” within the industry. • The Vittoria Tubeless Ready bead comes standard in Folding and TNT casings.
Kevlar ®** • It is chosen for its minimal weight, and tight fit. • Due to its flexibility, it allows the tire to be folded. • The Vittoria Kevlar®** bead comes standard in Folding and TNT casings.
Rigid • The Vittoria Rigid bead is the most cost-effective technology of the whole range. • The steel bead core makes installation easy. • Its proven durability makes it the choice for DH tire applications.
CASING The casing is the carcass or “body” of the tire. This is can be made in either the traditional open “clincher” style or in closed “tubular” style. Casings are usually made from either Nylon or Cotton material. Some feature additional materials, to increase durability. Casings are typically measured in Threads Per Inch or “TPI” for short. Generally, the higher the TPI, the suppler the ride quality is.
CASING MATERIALS Corespun Vittoria’s off-road Corespun casings for tubulars are based on the proven tradition of European road racing tires. These tubulars offer maximum suppleness without compromising the durability. They make cornering more predictable and the shock absorption is superior. Nylon Vittoria’s proprietary polyamide threads are set in an optimized layout to maximize performance, feel, and durability. Nylon is the standard choice in the industry, due to its vulcanizing properties. Vittoria uses nylon material in Rigid, Folding, and TNT casings.

OFF-ROAD CASING TYPE Tubular A tubular tire has a round casing that completely encloses the inner tube. Vittoria tubulars feature a latex inner tube; chosen to best resist penetration, and increase elasticity. • The perfectly round casing, supple material, and elastic inner tube, work together to minimize impact deflection. • Tubulars have reduced rolling resistance and increased comfort, when compared to standard clincher type tires.
Tubular Casing
TNT TNT represents the top-of-the-line clincher MTB casing available from Vittoria. TNT, short for Tube/No-Tube, can be used with or without an inner tube. What originated as our Tubeless ready casing has evolved into the obvious choice for racers who demand race day dependability. • The casing starts with a proven, lightweight 120 TPI carcass, which provides the trademark Vittoria supple feel. This allows the tread to minimize deflection, and reduce rolling resistance. • The vulcanized Kevlar®** bead is uniquely shaped, and specifically designed to ensure easy tubeless set-up, and to optimize air retention (minimize burping). • The added layer sidewall protection virtually eliminates sidewall cuts, and adds minimal weight. These features work together to provide an unbeatable package, without compromise.
XC Casing (Cross Country) The TNT-XC casing is our lightest version of our TNT casing, and features the dependable tubeless-ready bead, and added sidewall protection.
TNT-XC Casing AM Casing (All-Mountain) The TNT-AM casing features our proven tubeless-ready bead and added sidewall protection, but also adds an APF (anti-pinch-flat) insert just above the bead. This APF insert pads the rim against impacts, and adds stiffness to the sidewall.
TNT-AM Casing Gravity Casing (Downhill) The rTNT DH casing is a dual-ply reinforced casing, with a Rigid tubeless-ready bead, and APF insert. This protects against pinch flats and stabilizes the tire’s shoulder.

Wide rim profiles for more grip and speed Our research, testing and the practical experience from professional teams riding on Vittoria products show that wide tubular rim profiles and wide clincher rim profiles improve the tire performance in comparison to traditional narrow rim profiles. Vittoria wheels are designed to benefit from this improvement. The tread contact area is shorter and wider, so the tire grips and handles better in corners. In addition the tire casing (clincher and tubulars) deforms less, making the tire faster because of lower rolling resistance.
Perfect Match tire–rim interface If anyone knows how rims and tubulars need to fit, it’s Vittoria. The tire-rim combination must be perfect for security as well as overall performance. Today’s deep rims make that even more critical. All concerns disappear when you ride Vittoria tires mounted on full-carbon rims with the Perfect Match or Speedlock® profile.
Vittoria SwitchIT® road hub All Vittoria road wheels are built on a hub of our own design, developed by Vittoria and produced according to our well-known high quality standards. The internal components are all based on bike industry-proven parts. Our spokes, whether round-section or bladed, are straight-pull and specially produced for Vittoria. This allows a construction that is much stronger and less prone to failure in comparison to bended spokes. Rear hubs have an oversized drive-side flange, with spokes laced in a 2:1 ratio. This creates an optimal balance in spoke tension on each side of the wheel and let the wheel directly respond on your actions.
Vittoria SwitchIT freewheel. All road wheels have the unique Vittoria SwitchIT freewheel system (except for the models Vittoria Alusion and Session*). Cassettes mount on a freewheel body that can be quickly removed and replaced without tools—easily change gear ratios to tailor your wheels for any course. Switch quickly between Shimano, Campagnolo, or SRAM cassettes, with easy maintenance.

WHEELS TECH
Versatile off-road hub All Vittoria off-road wheels are built on a hub of our own design and development, and produced according to our specification. This has resulted in a unique robust and proven off-road design that utilizes 24 or 28 straight-pull spokes. All popular axle types are supported, from quick-release, to 15 mm front and 12 mm rear thru-axle. Brake disc mounting is Shimano Centerlock速 or international 6 bolt standard. Shimano Centerlock速 can also be converted to 6-bolt using the Vittoria rotor adapter.
Asymmetric rims build a stiffer wheel. The Asymmetric rim is the foundation for a laterally stiffer wheel, by balancing the spoke angles on left and right sides. This is needed on disc-braked fronts, where the brake disk mount displaces the hub flange to the hub center, as well as on rear hubs. The 2.5 mm offset from center on asymmetric rims minimizes differences in spoke tension and equalizes spoke-lacing angles, making the wheel stiffer and more stable.
Run tubeless securely with Speedlock速 Setting a new standard in security for tubeless tires, Speedlock速 is a subtly profiled rim-bed that significantly improves tubeless compatibility of Carbon Clincher and off-road alloy rims. Even at lower pressures, tires are hold in position and roll off risk is reduced. It also makes installing and inflating tubeless tires much easier.

VITTORIA’s WARRANTY Ride your wheels. We will look after them. The Vittoria promise: the easiest way to enjoy your wheels. You will discover an entire Vittoria network to provide you with support service, spare parts and one-to-one communication. Your Vittoria secure tag is the key to access it all. Every wheel has a holographic ID seal that records product type and history. You register the product ID and your ownership, ensuring that the Vittoria technicians have everything they need to keep your wheels in top condition. Every Service Center gets the same, dedicated workstation with the best tools, linked to the Vittoria global data center for rapid access to spare parts ordering and dispatch. We do the hard work—so you can play harder.
EXTENT OF LIMITED WARRANTY Vittoria warrants its products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two years after original purchase. This warranty only applies to the original owner and is not transferable. Claims under this warranty must be made through the retailer where the bicycle or the Vittoria component was purchased. Original proof of purchase is required.
LOCAL LAW This warranty statement gives the customer specific legal rights. The customer may also have other rights, which vary from state to state (USA), from province to province (Canada), and elsewhere in the world from country to country. To the extent that this warranty statement is consistent with the local law, this warranty shall be deemed modified to be consistent with such law, under such local law, certain disclaimers and limitations of this warranty statement may apply to the customer. ACCESSORIES
MAGIC MASTIK Magic Mastik is Vittoria’s newly developed rim glue for tubulars. Several of its features are absolutely unique with significant benefits over alternative glue and cement products in the market. It can easily be applied by amateurs or professional mechanics alike. Furthermore, it only needs to be applied on the surface of the rim rather than on tubular and rim like other adhesives. Magic Mastik cuts the industry-standard drying time of 24 hours in half by removing the need for a second layer of adhesive. Instead of having to wait 12 hours before the tire is even mounted, Magic Mastik makes it possible to mount the tire immediately and starting the clock on drying time from the moment wheel and tire are put together satisfactorily. This new application process even reduces the total weight of applied adhesive by roughly 20 grams because of the single layer application. Magic Mastik is as easy to remove, as it is to apply. This transparent product already offers a much cleaner rim and a simple wet cloth is sufficient to remove any residues on wheel or tubular (during application). Its unique product features can be listed as follows:
Easier to use The tube is equipped with a special applicator, designed to create an even distribution of Magic Mastik. It is very suitable also for people with limited mechanical experience. Any excess or oozing can simply be removed with a wet cloth.
Faster to use A single layer of glue is sufficient for optimal performance. This allows for effective and fast mounting. The entire process is completed just 12 hours after the application of Magic Mastik, half the time needed for alternative adhesives, which require more layers of bonding.
Safer to use Magic Mastik performs well even at very high temperatures, up to 120°C (heat is from prolonged breaking e.g.). It is not flammable, allowing for safe storage and application.
Suitable for all tubular rims Works with both aluminum alloy and carbon fiber wheels.
Reduces weight Magic Mastik requires only a single layer application, reducing the total weight of rim glue used significantly. 86 |
