Why SRM Power?
The SRM Training System measures all the data needed to organize your training and to analyze your race efforts. The SRM PowerMeter measures the applied torque and cadence at the most direct point of application - the crank set. This gives you the benefit of the most reliable and accurate power data available. In addition, the SRM PC7 also measures heart rate, speed/distance, energy, altitude and temperature. Since power is the most accurate measure of fitness this allows you to optimize the time and effort you spend on the bike, and get the most from your training. Knowing your precise workload and following it throughout your training prevents injuries and overtraining, while ensuring you get the maximum performance out of each ride. Not only will your training quality improve, but there will also be a marked increase in training efficiency. When it comes to training and racing with a PowerMeter, the SRM has been the “Gold Standard” for more than 25 years. All over the world professional cyclists, triathletes, coaches, universities and national cycling federations trust and depend on the precision, durability and quality of the SRM Training System. Take a look at how the SRM System can improve your Training: • Measuring and recording your fitness level in real-time and tracking your development over time • Helping you to train in your correct training zones with the aid of the most accurate power, cadence and heartrate measurement • Preventing overtraining or even injuries by constantly comparing your power data to your heartrate • Making your training session more effective - without costing you more time • Making interval training easier - with the touch of a button • Helping to improve your nutrition planning with the aid of precisely measured mechanical energy expenditure • Collecting race data will make your training more focused • Pacing yourself for time trials with power or heart rate limits • Analyzing and comparing data easily with the SRM Software (PC/MAC compatible) which is part of the SRM package

The SRM Difference Powered by Experience Each SRM PowerMeter and PowerControl head-unit are made one at a time, by hand. Our production facilities are located in Jülich, Germany and Colorado Springs, USA. Every step of production is carried out by highly trained engineers and technicians who have a passion for quality craftsmanship. Race Proven Durability SRMs are designed to take whatever you can throw at them. From freezing temperatures, to boiling heat, SRMs are designed to handle temperature compensations while maintaining accuracy with our “Auto” offset feature. each SRM is designed to be sealed against water, snow, mud, sand, and cleaning solvents. SRMs are designed to work. Period. Accuracy is Everything SRM uses a 144 point calibration protocol against a known mass measured to the exact gram. With exacting calibration and our auto-offset feature, the resulting power measurement of the SRM has error of less than 1%. The scientific community has been publishing peer reviewed research for over 20 years using the SRM PowerMeter as the bench mark for measuring power in physiological and human performance research studies. We don’t claim anything, our accuracy is proven. Dependability you can count on Up to 3000 hours of battery life (depending on model) give SRM‘s year after year of uninterrupted use. Craftsmanship The power of design Our design process uses 3D Form Modeling and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to determine the best structural layout for a strain gauge based measuring system. The foundation of each SRM PowerMeter is subject to a durable component design as a crank spider, even before its given electronics and measurement capabilities. Machining from a Solid Block of Aluminum Each SRM PowerMeter chassis is machined in J端lich, Germany, or Colorado Springs, USA. Our CNC Machinists are ISO Certified to Military specifications. Each SRM PowerMeter is produced to exacting standards from 7000 Series aluminum to tolerances within five hundreths of one millimeter (0.05mm). This produces a PowerMeter with absolute symmetry, yielding a stable offset frequency and consistent slope value. Each PowerMeter is also anodized to protect the aluminum and create a stronger surface. Strain Gauge Installation Applying strain gauges is an art as well as a science. Each SRM PowerMeter uses custom designed strain gauges, each placed by hand and aligned to exacting standards. This process allows for rock solid offset stability. A stable offset frequency means a more accurate power measurement. Electronic Manufacturing The electronics of SRM are designed to withstand the forces and harsh environments of cycling. All soldering connections of the SRM circuit board are reinforced above normal consumer electronics, allowing for increased durability. Following manufacturing, each circuit board is inspected as part of our extensive quality control process.

Assembly: A hands on approach Our employees are our secret for success. Each specially trained technician follows a meticulous process for new builds as well as servicing existing product. Our technicians carry on the proud legacy of building the worlds greatest power measurement devices! Every SRM Product is made by hand in Colorado Springs, USA or in J端lich, Germany. Calibration The cornerstone of the SRM PowerMeter. Without an accurate calibration, any measuring system would be flawed. Linearity of slope is a critical component to ensuring accuracy at lower power outputs as well as during high power sprint efforts. Each SRM is calibrated against four increasing loads ranging from 20 to 100 kilograms of known force. Each weight is measured to the exact gram to maintain the highest level of accuracy. Since the SRM was designed to be a transparent scientific measuring tool for torque, our calibration process can also be replicated by consumers!

SRM Ergometer Power in the lab - accurate scientific results, professionally tested The SRM High Performance Ergometer is designed to simulate cycling indoors for scientific testing, research and high-level monitored training. The Ergometer is used world-wide in university laboratories, coaching facilities and by national cycling and triathlon federations.
Technical specifications: • SRM Ergometer with integrated SRM Training System - Science version (0.5% accuracy). The PowerMeter is Wireless ready. • The saddle and handlebar position can easily be adjusted and locked using quick release levers for a wide range of positions to fit cyclists between 140 and 200 cm height (4’7” – 6’7”). • Narrow Q-Factor of only 151mm. • Individually adjustable crank length from 150 – 190mm in 2.5mm increments. • Smooth running gearbox with an eddy current brake and braking power from 20 to 2500 watts; up to 4000 watts for short intervals. • Compatible with Polar™ heartrate belts • Stiff and sturdy design (Total weight 100 kg / 220 lbs), powder-coated aluminum frame and stainless steel parts allow for precise measurements and years of reliable use. • Two interchangeable large flywheel masses simulate the kinetic energy and the “sensation” of cycling at realistic speeds. In addition to the flywheels we added a low maintenance 14-gear Rohloff hub to allow for smaller adjustments of the kinetic energy to simulate each athlete’s weight and riding speeds in real conditions.

• SRMWin software which is part of the package includes a simple editor to
create and save different test protocols. • All data are shown on the screen in online mode and then saved automatically. The data can be analyzed using the SRMWin software. • Requirements: PC with Windows XP, Vista or 7 (32 or 64bit), USB or Serial RS232 port • Ethernet Torque Analysis (see page 43) included • The two different operational modes are: Isokinetic Mode: This mode measures maximum power and physical condition with a defined cadence. The cyclist himself determines the power output, as the Ergometer keeps the cadence constant. This makes it possible to determine the actual endurance capacity in relation to a pre-set time and cadence. Hyperbolic Mode: For step and ramp tests this mode is perfect as it keeps power constant independently from the cadence. The cyclist can determine the optimum, individual cadence; the Ergometer keeps the power constant.
Ethernet Torque Analysis “The SRM Ethernet Torque Analysis Box represents a new standard in torque measurement and analysis
Analysis screen, marker panel, revolution table with inputoutput function (load, save and export) and average calculator
Main screen with online data, current revolution overlayed and recording panel
Measuring torque is one of the best methods to optimize bike fitting and rehabilitation, understand the distribution of power during all 360 degrees of the pedal revolution, and to analyze the strengths of different pedaling styles. The SRM Ethernet Torque Analysis Box is a rugged and effective solution designed to the exacting standards of all SRM products. The included software provides online data analysis and simple one-key recording of data. Torque is displayed in three different types: Nm, kgm and Nm/kg. Revolution data can be saved with unique rider profiles and overlaid with information from previous sessions to track changes. Differential analysis at any point of the pedal revolution means that it is easy to understand and communicate rider strengths. Additionally, data can easy be exported to document (PDF), image (PNG) and raw data (CSV). Compatibility: MS Windows (>=XP), Apple OSX (>=10.5), Linux (>=Kernel 2.6)
This product is only compatible with stationary bike
Requirements: Java RE (>=1.6), Ethernet Port (RJ45), special PowerMeter (for signal transmission)

SRM indoor trainer If you want to start the season off in top condition, you need to maintain a regular training schedule regardless of the weather during the winter months. In response to many inquiries, SRM has developed a revolutionary indoor trainer concept. Instead of copying existing designs on the market, SRM has designed an Indoor Trainer with the same quality and precision as the SRM PowerMeter. The Indoor Trainer includes a magnetic brake which can be controlled manually with a twist shifter that controls the resistance. To allow for a wide power and cadence range, we added a multi-geared freewheel hub – to be controlled manually as well. The combination of a low maintenance drive train and a non-contacting brake creates a perfect formula for your training session.
Technical specifications: • Fully adjustable: saddle and handlebar position can be adjusted to any position for cyclists of between 165 and 200 cm (5’5” to 6’7”) so you can set you your trainer to simulate the geometry of your race bike • The frame has a standard BSA bottom bracket housing to allow for installation of almost all SRM Systems. • With the SRM System on the Indoor Trainer and on your bike, you can collect power data all year long. • Gearbox: NuVinci™ hub • TIG-welded steel frame equipped with stainless steel and aluminum parts (Total weight 55 kg / 120lbs) – including handlebar and saddle. • Heavy flywheel (23.5kg / 52lbs) realistically simulates the kinetic energy of riding outside • Strength training possible with low cadence of 40 rpm and up to 400 watts • Max. braking power of 1400 watts (at 120 rpm) 45
