Welcome Welcome to our new season - we hope that there is something in the programme which will tempt you in during the long summer days...

Sarah MacNeil who is inspiring so many local youngsters to learn the clarsach - and who has just graduated from the Royal Conservatoire with a first class degree in Scottish Music - well done Sarah!

We've yet again got some great music lined up - from the divine power vocals of Ruby Turner to the sublime Emma's Imagination ...from the irreverent swagger of The Hot Seats to the astonishing vistuosity of pianist Brian Kellock.

Look out too for performances in The Albert Halls including the annual treat that is Phil and Aly, as well as the beautiful chorus of the 80 strong children's choir from the Paris National Opera.

By popular request we have another afternoon classical recital this time featuring Stirling's Landolfi Trio, and for little ones delectation we have Scottish Opera for toddlers - let's get them started young!

And don't forget our activities for young people - plenty to inspire them from the jazz summer school, steelpan drumming, animation, mask making and lots more... See you soon....

Trad music features strongly with our summer ceilidhs, a great double bill bringing together the Paul McKenna Band with Jeana Leslie and Siobhan Miller, and instrumental prowess from Kan.

Full of virtuosity and reverent irreverence, they are a sight to behold.” - Relix Magazine The Hot Seats play stringband music with simple intentions: to keep the role of traditional musician as entertainer and

commentator alive and kicking. Their original music is simultaneously hard to classify and instantly identifiable, combining the virtuosic soloing and tightness of bluegrass, the band-driven rhythm of old time, the jerky bounce of ragtime, and the swagger of good old rock and roll.
