Well, 2014 is upon us, and we look forward to welcoming people of Stirling as well as new visitors through the year, which is set to be full of cultural highlights alongside the momentous historical dates and major events in Stirling and across Scotland. To start the year, we welcome Canadian fiddler Gordie MacKeeman with his band. Over for Celtic Connections, this guy is quickly garnering a reputation for his cracking live performances, so be sure to catch him now. Another international first to the Tolbooth, Louisiana lumineers The Revellers visit us in March... We welcome back the outstanding McGoldrick, McCusker & Doyle... they just get better and better, and we are delighted they can still fit us in amongst their ever busy schedules. For you guitar fans, as well as John Doyle, what a week-end in March with Tony McManus followed by an homage to Hendrix and Cream from Voodoo Room...

For fans of ReLoaded, we welcome back The Winter Tradition, and there are also plans afoot for the return of ReLoaded Fest - so look out for news there. We have comedy from Lucy Porter, a night for music fans with Stuart Maconie talking about his book The People's Songs and a play from Stellar Quines by locally based writer Christine Lindsay about her experience working in prisons, including Cornton Vale. And as ever, do keep an eye on the website for great gigs through the year in both the Tolbooth and in The Albert Halls, including the return of the RSNO in June... Our arts news includes current classes and workshops, as well as information on a new commission for 2014 The Bruce 700. So, an exciting year ahead - we hope you will take part. The Tolbooth Team
