Wilkes is accused of choking his girlfriend by her necklace and saying he was going to kill her. When choking her by her necklace didn’t work, he grabbed a brown extension cord. She lost consciousness. Eventually she came to and pleaded with Wilkes not to harm her any more. The girlfriend left and called police and was treated by paramedics.
