To Live. To Love. finds it very important for both, clients and the photographer’s style to match. This process allows your photographs to appear at their best. The name To live. To love. was brought together in a small town called Needville. I grew up in there and would like to think that is where my inspiration comes from the most. I love to be outside in the open summer breeze, even in the Texas heat. A photographers style is like thier fingerprint. It should be a true representation of who you are, something you leave behind as your signature. Tilting your images or editing in a certian manner does not characterize them as your style. Style is much deeper and more intimate. It defines your images even before you capture them. My style of photography is much like how I grew up... creative, unique, and unpolished.
Family Session
$400 Session duration is an hour. You may choose up to two different locations up within a ten mile radius of eachother. Traveling is no problem to me seeing as how I enjoy it. (There may be a .55¢ charge per mile according to the IRS mileage rate.) You are guaranteed at least 60 edited images. Sessions start two and a half hours before sunset and will include CD with edited high resolution images.
To Live. To Love. does not release any unedited or RAW files.
A great photo happens when a photographer sees a situation unfolding in front of them that evokes an emotion that the photographer feels deep down, in the middle of their chest. And in a split second, they then make a conscience choice of exposure, lens, depth of field, lighting, body language, composition, etc., and releases the shutter.

FAQ and answers F a m i ly Can I get the high-resolution digital files? Most defiantly!! I have some portrait packages that come with the CD. You can also purchase the CD separately. Images are selected and edited at our discretion. Every image will be edited, only a select few will be copied and highly edited. Where will the session take place? Location is one of the most important aspects of the session. It sets the theme and feeling of the image. Since To Live. To Love. does not usually use props our sessions locations can provide a natural prop and allows the image to focus on you. I do have a few locations I like to shoot at but am always open to new and exciting locations. All portraits must be photographed outdoors or with an abundance of natural lighting. When choosing a location let nature be your best friend. Tall grassy field or a natural wooded forest makes up for a perfect fit! Take a step away from the high traffic city and enjoy the peace of the suburbs! When should I book my session? I would try to book it at least a month or two before your set date. Depending on how booked I am, the CD can take from 1-3 weeks to finish. I don’t usually book portrait session on Saturdays. (Saturdays are usually opened up to weddings.) Can I do my session indoors? I have designed my photographs to be more natural light than studio light. I do not shoot indoor portrait sessions. My work that you have seen is focused on natural lighting only. Although, if there is a large amountof window light we can try to get some creative shots.
What should I wear to my session? Anything! Colors, textures, and coordinating styles are great things to keep in mind when picking them out, but most importantly make sure you are comfortable and being yourself. I am up for discussing specific ideas or themes prior to your session so we can make sure it will all work well for the shoot. I love anything vintage, unpolished, and different. Sessions usually last 1 hour. How many images do you end up with? For sessions we average 60-80 edited photos. How do I book my date for sessions? For sessions I require a $200 non-refundable retainer and signed contract to book the date. The full balance must be paid at the time of the session by check or cash. What if I need to cancel? If you need to cancel your session the $200 retainer will need to be paid again. To live. To love. has the right to cancel or reschedule any session.
