European Falconry Book on Sale Tomáš Krivjanský, a long-practicing Slovakian falconer, has published several books on European falconry and hunting. His new book, published last year, Falconry Past and Present, is his first book published in English. It is lavishly-illustrated with many manuscripts and paintings of Medieval and Renaissance falconry, particularly those from Central and Eastern Europe which many of us may not have seen before. The English text, while not perfect, is still very readable. It’s a very nice coffee table book and it was the first thing I bought when I attended the Falconry Festival in Abu Dhabi last year.
Deanna, Karma, Wilson and a jackrabbit.
Sylvia and the armadillo.
Anne, Taliya and a starling.
The book is currently being offered for 39 Euros, or roughly $42.00. It can be purchased online here: http://eshop.krivjansky.sk/book.php?id=1 (Yes, the website has Google language translation on every page at the top/center). If anyone would like to see more of the book, please contact me directly at raptoresse@msn.com ~Anne Price
