2004 study by psychologist Timothy A. Judge, Ph.D., of the University of Florida, and researcher Daniel M. Cable, Ph.D., of the University of North Carolina, found that every inch of height amounts to a salary increase of about $789 per year (the study controlled for gender, weight and age). By this calculation, someone who is 6 feet tall earns $5,525 more annually than someone who is 5 feet, 6 inches. Over the course of a career, of course, those numbers can really add up. In other words, the inflated paychecks of tall people may have less to do with biases and social stigmas than previously believed. If taller people do, in fact, select occupations that require more advanced skills, employers may be justified in granting them higher salaries.

all Women - we guys love them. What could be better than being with a tall girl? If you’re like me, you are very attracted to them. Just like we are attracted to girls of all sizes ;). But if you think there is something special about a tall woman, you are not alone. Many guys desire them. If you’re one of those guys, read on and you’ll see why we like them so well. Well first, what’s not to like? Tall girls are the very embodiment of beauty. They are elegant and classy (At least I think so.) When you’re with a girl who is tall, she stands out in a very modest way. No wonder we like them!! Guys always want to be able to show off their girl, to be proud of them. And we can do this with a tall lady. They are very lovely. These are just some of the reasons that tall girls are so attractive!

I know that some tall girls out there, especially teens, have a hard time of dealing with their height. I know exactly where they are coming from, because I am really tall, too. “Why should height matter when it comes to dating?” you are. Stand proud and love your body. If you start to do this, eventually you will become more and more comfortable with yourself. hat may be a tall order for some women to accept. But shorter females earn less than their loftier colleagues, a study claims those who stand at 5ft8in and above are twice as likely to earn more than £30,000 a year - or up to £5,000 more than their vertically challenged friends.

It turns out to be the ride attendant about twenty feet away pointing at our group with a scowl on her face. As we look at her she seemed to be getting angrier. She pointed at me and gave a very “forceful” downward pointing motion with her finger. I of course look confused and look down to my friends wondering what’s she freeking out about. She then yells at me saying, “Sir, get down”. I am now very confused and assume that I’m not supposed to be leaning on the rail. I lean forward and look at her. She then yells, “If you don’t get off the rail, you’re going to have to leave”. At this point I think I understand what she’s yelling about. I take another step away from the rail and say, “I’m standing”. A look of surprise crosses her face and she walks over. As she gets closer the realization finaly hits her. She turned a few shades of red that I’ve never seen before, laughed and apologized for the missunderstanding. The whole line thought it was hilarious though.

After visiting my best friends house for several years, I finally had to take a shit in his bathroom. I had never noticed, after only peeing in his bathroom for all that time, that when I sat down on the toilet my legs were forced to sit in the bath tub. I thought this must have looked hilarious, so I called my friend in to take a picture and post it on reddit.com. Later that day, I had reached the front page, I couldn’t believe it. Sometimes being uncomfortably tall has its benefits.

ow do tall women and short men survive the dating world? A 2008 study of 382 undergraduates in the journal Personality and Individual Differences found that both sexes preferred relationships where the woman was shorter than the man. Curiously, the research also showed that women enforced the norm more strongly than men. Twenty-three percent of men but only four percent of women said they were open to a relationship in which the woman was taller.

“Women’s cultural vision is being feminine, having a man big enough to make her feel protected. Many women hold this stereotype to a point where it excludes a lot of people they might be interested in otherwise,” said Dr. Pepper Schwartz, a sociology professor at the University of Washington in Seattle, and the chief relationship expert for PerfectMatch.com.

“Women view taller men as more likely to be physically dominant and potential protectors, which provides a feeling of safety,” Dr. David Frederick, co-author of the study and visiting professor of psychology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, wrote in an email. “For some women, being with a taller partner makes them feel smaller, and it is not surprising that some women prefer this given the pressure on women to be slender.” Evolutionarily speaking, women may have developed a preference for taller men because of the advantages height provides in male on male competitions, he added.

he poll of more than 2,000 Americans by the travel website TripAdvisor.com also showed that despite the annoyances, more Americans plan to fly domestically and internationally this year compared with 2012.

“Flyers continue to voice concerns about the challenges associated with air travel, such as extra fees and limited legroom,” Bryan Saltzburg, general manager of TripAdvisor Flights, said in a statement. Frequent flyer programs were popular, with 87 percent saying they had participated in one. Smaller numbers had exchanged points for a free or discounted fight or for seat upgrades. Internet access during a flight was a determining factor with a quarter of people polled saying they would choose one airline over another if it offered access while 37 percent considered their iPad or other tablet device an essential carry-on.

Some airlines (we’re talking to you, JetBlue) prefer to leave customers with intact knees at the end of their flight. Which is very kind of them, indeed. Some have seats so wide, you might even call them roomy. Others supply still more bells and whistles, such as killer entertainment systems, leather seats and more. Sound plush? It can be, actually, if you book correctly. Best of all, you won’t have to pay a penny extra.

But not all airlines (or aircraft) are the same, and if you choose carefully you can avoid the worst offenders.
