Local Senior Living Community Undergoes Exciting Expansion
Story & Photos Provided
CarDon & Associates’ senior living community in Fishers is in for an exciting makeover.
Among other things, the $5 million expansion project will more than double the number of assisted living apartments at Hamilton Trace, located at 11851 Cumberland Road. The new total of 67 residences will consist of 32 new onebedroom apartments and five two-bedroom apartments. Each apartment will feature a kitchen with a sink, refrigerator and microwave; private bathroom with walk-in shower; washer and dryer; smoke detector with sprinklers and fire alarm; and all utilities, including telephone and cable TV, along with free Wi-Fi.
“As folks grow older, they want to be able to maintain as much independence as possible,” says CarDon Chief Operating Officer Gregg Gormal. “Our growing community at Hamilton Trace allows residents to remain self-sufficient with the comfort that assistance is here when they need it. We’re proud to build upon this community.”
Along with the lounge and activity area, the community’s dining room, which serves three restaurant-quality meals a day, will also undergo expansion and renovation.
Other amenities include 24-hour emergency call service; social, recreational and educational programs and activities; weekly housekeeping and linen service; access to the Fishers Switch community center;
11650 N. Lantern Road, Suite 263
Conner library; convenient location near shopping, health care and restaurants; complimentary laundry facilities; interior and exterior maintenance; and scheduled transportation for outings and medical appointments.
“The expansion is to accommodate the needs of seniors in Fishers and the surrounding areas,” Gormal says. “It provides a nice continuum on the campus for those in independent living apartments or cottages as well as individuals coming out of short-term rehabilitation who may benefit from assisted living, either as a respite or their new home.”
Hamilton Trace is now accepting reservations for its assisted living apartments, which are set to open in the spring. For information about the apartments, call 317-813-7777. For more information about CarDon & Associates, visit www.cardon.us.
