GOT IT COVERED
KINSEY’S FLOOR COVERING THRIVES FIVE YEARS INTO NEW OWNERSHIP toward retiring. As they considered possible buyers, Joe came to mind naturally as he had worked for them as a long-timer installer since he was 23. The sale was finalized one week before Joe married wife Jennifer in 2016, with Pam remaining to work the salesfloor, using her years of experience helping customers. “Joe worked for us for 27 years before he bought the store and Jennifer was a good friend of my daughter’s,” Pam Kinsey says. We’re definitely a family-oriented business.” Joe said Ron has always been a phone call away with support and Pam’s familiar face will soon be edging gracefully out the door for her retirement. Kinsey’s Floor Covering is celebrating its fifth anniversary under its second ownership by continuing to offer their quality flooring options and installation expertise. The business has been in Noblesville since 1988, the last five years of which have been under the leadership of second owner Joe Wariner. Kinsey’s was established by wife-and-husband team Pam Kinsey and Ron Kinsey, who operated the store until they began to look
“My poor wife was thrown to the wolves right away,” Joe Wariner says. Jennifer has been involved with the business since day one. “She’s been a big part of this,” Wariner says. “She’s always investigating new products and talking to our reps. It’s to the point where, in our showroom, we get the newest samples in there.” She was just as involved when the business re-opened a month after the state shutdown. “My wife deserves praise in that aspect,” Wariner says. “She made sure the store was ready for customers the sales staff cared for. She had sanitizing stations, signs for masks on the doors, and put all the procedures in place.” The Kinsey team includes five employees.
