n 1952, when Bill Graybeal started The Gray Mill, his goal was to build custom furniture and upholstery items for his clients. By the end of the decade, the business was evolving. “He really loved building furniture, but he saw a really great opportunity for retail,” explains granddaughter and third-generation co-owner, Mollie Graybeal. “When he got his first storefront, he got the furniture and accessories, and he just expanded it from there.” Ever since then, The Graybeal family has concentrated on providing its customers’ interior decorating needs with quality furnishings. “We have been built from our beginning as a one-stop-shop for your home interior,” explains Graybeal. In the last 68 years, this family has slowly expanded the business, both in repertoire and in space, each generation adding value to the business. Today, The Gray Mill boasts 16,000 sq. ft. of the highest quality furniture for all areas of the house. “Between my Dad [Mike], my Uncle Bill, and myself, we have more than 100 years of experience in the industry,” Graybeal adds. The Gray Mill has always been known to have the highest quality. “The one thing that we hear continuously is, ‘I still have furniture that I got from you 40 years ago.’ Or ‘That bedroom suite I bought lasted forever!’ ‘I didn’t need to go
