Although new to the area, Starcrest Cleaners located at 1201 West Oak Street is a multigenerational, family-owned business with locations throughout the Midwest. The Hermes family was looking for a community that shared their vision and values when they decided on Zionsville as the location for their most wide-ranging and innovative facility to date. “We are a third-generation cleaning and laundry business,” says Starcrest CEO, Luke Hermes. “The business began in the 1970s and my father, Leo, launched the Starcrest brand in 1990. We made a conscious decision to grow in the north Indianapolis area three years ago when my operating partner, Bill Wilkins wanted to relocate here in order to be closer to family. We were immediately drawn to Zionsville because the community’s values align with our core vision of providing families more time to spend with each other and pursue their dreams. “We’ve been in the industry for 50 years, and we are always evolving, innovating and pushing the envelope on what we

However, this service is not just for dry cleaning but also specializes in family members personal laundry. “It is a seamless experience due to the integration of online accounts and cell phone texting,” Hermes adds. “Customers set up accounts with an automatic payment method on file, specify pickup and delivery times as well as any special
instructions. Customers receive a text the evening before to remind them their pickup is the next day and give them the opportunity to decline service. We pick up after 8 am and deliver back the same day before 8 pm. Customers are alerted when their laundry has been picked up and delivered as well! “Our Laundry Bins program is priced at $19.95 per bag,” he adds. “One bag holds what would be a weeks’ worth of laundry for one person or about a load and a half in a home washer. We use plant-based, hypoallergenic detergent and temperatures never exceed 120 degrees. Each bag is individually processed by itself. All the returned clothes are cleaner,
