About me I started my studies in Sicily and then I moved to Ferrara where I get my master degree with mentions, my thesis path was about the regeneration of a fishing village of my home town Avola. After the obtention of my master degree I first move to London (where I worked part time) in order to improve my English and to have developed another vision of the city. It’s in London where I get the opportunity and the chance to discover and then move to China, where I have been living in Shanghai for the past two years. Here in China I really stayed to widen my borders : Shanghai it’s a city that gives you thousand opportunities and keeps you in touch with international people all in a Chinese context. My first work experience in Shanghai states as a interior designer for luxury shops and then I became junior architect in a Dutch company, where I mainly do concept design.
I enjoyed this experience because everything begins from the architecture : the drawing, that it’s one of my hobbies that makes me feel relaxed during my free time. Then, the drawing starts it’s evolution in order to become something concrete. I mainly deal with regeneration and redevelopment, a topic that as I anticipated earlier, began to interest me during my thesis path and which is now really current in our field. It can certainly lead to an improvement in many cities and many suburbs without having to build something new but improving the existing by giving a new opportunity to what we already have. Beyond this, I consider myself as a person who loves to discover and who always wants to learn and improve not only in the working field, but also in the everyday life. I try to constantly put myself to the test to overcome my limitations and put all of myself in what I do.

URCove by Hyatt Hotel Concept for a new hotel brand, China 2019
The concept of the new hotel brand will be different than others, because this one is based on the idea to give to the client a different feeling . The new feeling we can find when we arrive at home or in our apartment, but to do this all the normal idea of the hotel need to be changed. For this reason the concept is based on a small and warm entrance (wood became the main material), the home feeling is given be decision to create a living room with different material and different type of furniture and different type of decoration. The same idea and material we can find inside the room where there is also same space dedicate for work and relax.

Renovation of canopy lighting and interior space, Shanghai (China) 2019
The idea is to create a new image for this building with few intervenes about interior and exterior space. We started to think about the name of the building which it will be Ocean Tower: the ocean, the waves and the connection created by that are the basement of the new design. The Shape of the Wave and the Water Reflection are the main characters we used for the landscape the canopy and the materials of the interior space. Onother idea of the ocean is given by the opening and the date exchange such as a network, so we managed to crete open spaces aimed to provide and help the exchanges and the interaction among the workers.

ReTun Redevelopment of an urban void within the City of Avola, 2016
The project of retraining goal is to create a new connective system to empower the soil from the touristic point of view. The new connection target is to conciliate old and new pathways in order to requalify the isolated real estate such as Tonnare. I choose to examine the Avola’s Tonnara because it is located in a strategic spot of the town. My project goal is to restructure the building without loose the existing side of it, since it is a symbol for our town. In fact, a new independent structure should be added in a system of public spaces dedicated to the citizens. To sum up the project goal is to evaluate the key point of the Sicilian style.

TheBox Laboratory of architecture design 4 Regenerated urban fabrics: landscapes in 2030 in Reggio Emilia, 2015
The urban area examined is located in Reggio Emilia (Italy). Inside it is possible to find a significant number of houses because near by the center. Consequently, is a profitable area full of develop opportunities. The most important parts of it are the first two districts because they host commercial activities. Indeed, the project goal is to extend them to the whole area.

The bottom line of the building consists of a compact block whit two square shapes at the bottom. The core service will include vertical connections, toilets, compartment plant and other service rooms. The second part of the building will include info point, relaxation rooms, laptop, meeting room and viewpoint. Moreover, the different functions of the two buildings is visible also from outside. Indeed, the service block is a single, compact and massive element which give a sense of static. Moreover, this construction assumes its importance through the verticality. (covered with GRC panels) . As regard with the second block, it gives a sense of lightness which became an open area covered with glass to reach a sense of lightness and permeability. Moreover, it assumes its importance by imitating the motorway and the AV station movement. Finally, the difference between the two block is evaluated from their architectonic shape. In fact, it seems that the two sides diverge.

The new pole project is located inside the industrial area of Padova. The first analysis results suggested a demolition of the existent fragmented parts. As a consequence, is possible to utilize the three different entrances. The key words of the project is dialysis that acts as a filter to separate public and private spaces. Moreover, the filter breadth change depending on the separation of the functions. Consequently, two conflicting type of filter have been created. van de Rohe.

CutandDrug Laboratory of costruction 1 Project for a new headquarters of the faculty office,2014
The project goal is to build a new office area which will be temporarily used for 5 years. Consequently, the material used should be light and flexible. Indeed, X-Lam wood has been used. The main idea is to emulate the Heritage and divide it into three parts: waiting room, secretary and other offices. Lastly, the three areas have a cut and a sliding on top of an oblique line that give a sense of movement to the building and to the windows as well.
Ground Floor
BEeHouse Module of 10 square meters form prepared for 4 beds in Mazara del Vallo,2016
The main idea come from concept of protection that make the user feel safe. The inspiration come from the beehive symbol of protection. Indeed, the project conciliate a minimal functional space, the cells and an articulated system composed by them. From this starting point a building with two sides has been created. The hexagonal side supports the external panels and the internal furnishing as well. Moving on the second side is a square composed by the single hexagonal parts. Finally, the internal furnishing includes three beds and a folding table to extend the internal spaces as much as possible.

Wood Gridshell is post formed wood prototype that has the behavior of a shell and half- timbered structures at the same time. The structure is submitted to an induced strain action that give the final shape to the building. The prototype has been built by the students of the university of Catania. It measures 80 sqm and it is composed from 9 modules 9 sqm each. The structural system is reversible and cheap monte kit composed from wood boards 18x55x400mm mechanical connected. Appendix: The prototype realized in Syracuse in collaboration with industrial partner is located into the back yard of Syracuse architecture university. This is part of experimental laboratory activity organized by the lecture L. Alini in partnership with the Syracuse constructions sector.
