How to Google Search a Website

Page 1

To successfully search a website on Google, simply do the following. In the search bar, type in "site:", just like that. Then type in the name of the website- for example- http://goblinsshark.blogspot.com, so you will have the following in your search barsite:http://goblinsshark.blogspot.com/ And then click enter. You will now see if Google has any cached pages of the website you are seeking. If you are looking to see if your site has been indexed, you might have to wait a few hours to a few weeks. There are many tricks to getting listed on to Google faster, and where else to search for that information, but on Google! And a hintutilizing Google Places may boost traffic. Another easy tip is to Digg your posts or new pages, as well as Tweet them. Adding the icons for people to share, bookmark, and Google's +1 seem to speed up the process also. It may be that the votes count like back links, or at least a measure of temporary popularity that is as current as their algorithms can handle. The fast way to get on Google requires a few more simple guidelines, but I will leave those for another post. Simply doing the above may get you on Yahoo and Bing very quickly- my Black and White Pokedex Pokemon page got visitors from Yahoo 15 minutes after I submitted it, and about 3 hours after I submitted to Bing. All I did was the above. Then, in about 24 hours, all of my post pages were indexed by Google. Not ranked yet, just indexed. I will keep an update of how these techniques continue to influence, or not. Just remember- first and foremost, you must be certain that you are ready for Google to scrawl your puppy or else your site could be an old dog by the time it comes back around. Or you will be feeling like an old dog, or both.
