The location of the designed building is on an open, flat area, clearly sidelined from the existing village buildings, prompted thoughts about the building’s correspondence with such environment. After the confinement, the owners had it clear, they wanted a house with an outdoor area, so the distribution was made facing the gardens, balconies and deck areas. Hence, the common areas where most of the living space was, had to be a continuation of the exterior, while the other half of the house was occupied by the three bedrooms and the studio in the upper level.

Watch the animation made in Twinmotion
The design response embodies an atmosphere of connectivity within the family house through an exterior courtyard in a L-shaped building. The conceptual target of visual and acoustic social connectivity has been achieved by the presence of glass windows that surround the common areas thereby giving the household continuous views of the trees outside and each other inside the spaces. The structure is a mix of exposed concrete and a timber roof. In the compression work on the concrete, the entire lower level was made in reinforced concrete that resolved support and base pillars. The roof above was a timber frame structure, making the construction lighter and with much faster assembly and execution.
