Adding a Basic (IMAP) account in Outlook 2007 SP3: If you are adding an Exchange account to an existing Outlook profile start at step 12, 13 and 14, then do steps 1-11. If this is the first account to be added in a new Outlook Profile follow steps 1-11: 1. Start Outlook 2007 SP3… NOTE: If you are using Outlook 2007 you must install SP3 in order to be compatible with our Exchange Server. Although Outlook 2007 SP3 is compatible with our Exchange Server 2013 we do not recommend using it with Basic (IMAP) accounts due to the way it handles deleted items. If you delete a message in an IMAP account in Outlook 2007 it does not move it to the Deleted Items folder as it should. Instead it greys it out, puts a line through it and calls it “Marked for Deletion. There is no fix for this in Outlook 2007. You can hid Items marked for deletion and you can purge (both manually and automatically) items marked for deletion. This issue was fixed in Outlook 2010 and 2007 is no longer supported by Microsoft. 2. Click “Next”…
