ROOF FRAMING
1.1 Demolition of existing single storey brick veneer home 1.2 The class ‘P’ site is excavated to achieve the desired level and cellar allowance; allowing at least 3m deep bored peers to be founded in clayey sand 1.3 A 50mm minimum packing sand bed along with appropriate site fill where organic material and soft material have been removed is required to sit under the future slab
2.1 Appropriate timber form-work is set out within the cellar and around the concrete slab set out 2.2 Appropriate service pipes (toilets, sinks, showers, and drainage) are put in place where necessary - penetrations of pipes and plumbing fittings will be taped in construction sequence #3 2.3 600 and 900 Ø bored peers are poured and cured in accordance to engineers details
3.1 Slab and beams shall be cast upon a 0.2mm minimum thickness polythene vapor barrier 3.2 All reinforcement shall be laid and taped in place in accordance to engineers specifications 3.3 170mm thick slab to be pored throughout and cured in accordance to engineers detail
4.1 Structural steel columns (89 x 5.0 square hollow section) are erected in accordance to engineers drawings 4.2 Unless noted otherwise all steel columns shall have a 10mm base plates with 2 - M16 chemset anchors
5.1 Top and bottom plates are fixed to either end of 90 x 45 MGP10 studs at 450mm centres 5.2 Bottom plates are fixed to concrete slab via M10 anchors at 900mm centres 5.3 Temporary bracing and propping is used in addition with diagonal tension straps and/or plywood bracing 5.4 First floor beams and joist are erected in accordance to the engineers member schedule and plan; with 19mm particleboard flooring to continue over top 5.5 First floor wall framing is erected
6.1 Roof framing is erected in accordance to SAA National Timber Framing Code and AS1720 - SAA Timber structures code 6.2 Where rafters and ceiling joist are parallel with masonry walls fix M12 anchors at 900 centres
