The William Ball Approach Since 1963 the Ball family has manufactured quality fitted furniture. Both Robert and Terence Ball have been involved from the beginning and today both are still actively involved in day to day management of the Company.

The six directors have over 150 years experience between them within the industry. The third generation is on the board of directors and the hands on approach adopted by the family ensures all customers receive professionalism, quality and attention to detail.
The personal involvement adopted by the Ball family ensures that the Company’s philosophy of complete customer satisfaction remains paramount from the initial enquiry through to final installation. The dedicated work force of over 270 ensures all customers receive personal service, products to be proud of and an after sales service that is second to none. Working components such as hinges and drawer runners have been tested vigorously in accordance with quality standards laid down by British Standards. All William Ball directors and a high percentage of the work force have William Ball fitted furniture in their own homes.

Design and Development The product development team at William Ball continuously research new materials and improvements in technology. The team regularly commission new designs and finishes to introduce fresh ideas to help transform your home. Whether your choice is minimalist contemporary or classic traditional William Ball has a product that will enhance your chosen lifestyle and the character of your home. The product portfolio consists of 40 styles of kitchens, 15 bedrooms, 10 studies and 5 ranges of open plan living furniture. With the need to protect resources and the environment, timber is only taken from areas where a programme of replanting is carried out. Natural material such as timber does however vary in grain and colour with occasional knots appearing in some species. These variations add interest and beauty to a kitchen and make it quite distinctive from man made material.

One of our designers will visit your home, at a time convenient to you to discuss your ideas and give practical and professional advice for your project. The vast array of styles, finishes, and unit sizes assures your room will be transformed by utilising the space to its best advantage. Our designers will guide you through the process and produce a design to reflect your chosen style.

William Ball fitted furniture is exclusive, it can only be purchased from Authorised William Ball Centres and your design will be a one off, made specifically to fit only your room. Our designers are very experienced in making the best use of space, creating a practical design that will be a joy to use. They will incorporate your own ideas to create a masterpiece that is tailored to your personal needs and style.
With a choice of over 40 kitchen styles on 12 carcase colours and over 120 handles, the permutations are numerous so your kitchen is unique to you.
William Ball controls every aspect of the project from purchase of raw materials through to final installation.
Production
William Ball exclusive fitted furniture is manufactured at the Company’s production facility located at Grays, Essex where more than 200 people are employed. Our workforce is highly skilled and our production processes utilise the latest technology ensuring that only the best quality leaves the factory. By producing each and every component within tight tolerances, William Ball products have rightly earned a reputation for high quality.
Installation
With quality furniture it is important to employ professionals to ensure your furniture is installed correctly. William Ball trained installation teams are highly experienced and have worked with the products for many years. They will respect your home, carry out the installation with the minimum of disruption and remove all packaging, leaving the room clean and tidy.
Any building work in your home can be stressful, but we will aim to minimise any disruption and will carry out the installation efficiently. Minor building work can normally be undertaken and all lighting, plumbing, gas and electric requirements can be accommodated.
Showrooms
There is no substitute for touching and feeling a product to assess its quality and with over 100 William Ball showrooms nationwide you can do just that. In conjunction with our William Ball Authorised Centres you can see first hand the product and browse at your leisure. All Authorised Centres have extensive knowledge of the William Ball product range and will be happy to discuss your ideas and aspirations at a time and place convenient to you. The designer will help transform your dreams into reality. For your convenience, if you are unable to call at a showroom to see the product, one of our designers can arrange a home visit. The designer will bring samples so that you can see the colours and finishes in the comfort of your own home.
