My parents ran their own prep school (St Michaels in Putney) to which I went and then I won an 11+ scholarship (see Education). I grew up in South London both the posh bit (Putney) and a less nice bit (Wandsworth East Hill before they remade it). I lived mainly in South West London and then moved to Kilburn. After I married I moved to Lewes, then Epsom, Billericay and the Cayman Islands. I now live in Hampshire.
