Assessment & Design
Project Management
Our design team combines a wealth of knowledge and experience that enables us to provide both traditional and low carbon mechanical and electrical design solutions.
Our project management team work seamlessly with our clients to provide specialist support to their business as and when they need it. This can range from providing short term management support, through to full turnkey design and installation solutions.
To complement this approach we have developed a sustainability consultancy with the capacity to undertake building performance assessments, dynamic thermal building modelling and low carbon consultancy.
We offer:
This allows us to work with our clients to assess and design each project holistically to value engineer solutions that deliver energy saving reductions and lifecycle improvements; whilst incorporating a balanced approach to low carbon technologies.
Project scoping Business case preparation Finance and funding solutions (including grant applications) Project delivery plans
We offer: Feasibility studies, budget’s & reports
Management of project delivery Post project audits and validation
Asset condition surveys and lifecycle replacement reports Concept designs Low carbon consultancy (including thermographic and air tightness testing) Full M&E design service (including CAD facilities) Post completion audits, testing & inspections Building compliance testing & certification (including TM44, EPC’s and DEC’s) Expert witness service
We tailor our project management methods to suit each individual client and project goal. However, we believe that the key to delivering projects to programme is through effective communication, detailed programming and proactive problem solving. Our projects team brings together the variety of skills and knowledge needed for each individual project drawing upon our wide range of in-house technical and management resources. And by working in partnership with our clients we ensure that each project is delivered on time and within budget.
Mechanical & Electrical Services We work with a variety of customer groups including main contractors, architects, manufacturers, managing agents, building owners and occupiers; and have extensive experience in delivering solutions within the following sectors: Commercial Retail Leisure Data & IT Industrial & manufacturing Healthcare Education Nuclear
Did you know? Voltage optimisation solutions can typically reduce a building’s electrical consumption by 12-15% per annum with a payback period of 2.5 years.
We provide a wide range of electrical services, including:
LV & HV installation works Voltage optimisation solutions Harmonic & PFC solutions Power generation (solar PV & wind) Low energy lighting solutions Emergency lighting systems Generators & back-up systems Energy saving solutions BMS & control solutions Portable appliance testing Testing & inspections of existing systems Remedial works
And also provide a comprehensive range of mechanical services, including: Boiler installations (gas, oil, electric, biomass) Renewable technologies (ground/air source heat pumps, solar thermal) Air conditioning systems Chiller installations DHW systems Pumps Ventilation systems Pipework modifications and upgrades Controls & optimisation solutions Water hygiene solutions Energy saving solutions System testing & inspections Remedial works
We have an extensive and robust supply chain and work closely with many leading manufacturers, suppliers and specialist fabricators; allowing us to source products on competitive terms and to access their technical support and product training. Working with our supplier partners we can provide bespoke pre-fabricated and modularised solutions, which offer significant reductions in installation time and costs over traditional installation methods. All our works are fully guaranteed against design and manufacturing defects, and we are accredited members of NICEIC, Gas Safe, Refcom and the Building & Engineering Association.

Energy saving solutions Case study
LED lighting technology at Centre Retail Park, Oldham
Centre Retail Park covers an area of 245,000sq ft. and is home to key retail occupiers including Argos, Boots and Next. The sites existing car park lighting scheme consisted of 45 column mounted 400W SON luminaires, creating a dull orange glow across the site.
A 98W LED replacement luminaire was proposed which could be retro fitted to the existing lighting columns in order to minimise the installation cost, whilst the unit itself would reduce like for like energy consumption by 89% and minimise future maintenance costs.
The scheme operated inefficiently consuming over 82,000 kWh per annum, and had high maintenance costs due to significant lamp failures.
Stroma Evolution was subsequently asked to install the proposed scheme which was completed outside trading hours over a three day period.
Stroma Evolution was engaged to evaluate the existing scheme and provide a low energy alternative that would also enhance the customer experience by creating a brighter and crisper lighting output across the site.
