NEW YORK (November 1, 2008) – Toobydoo (‘to be, do!’) is a new, sophisticated children’s wear brand, for boys and girls from newborn to 6 years old. The world of Toobydoo is “go happy, go lucky” with a “to be, do!” attitude. Toobydoo’s Spring 2009 collection is inspired by New York history with a modern twist. It was four hundred years ago that Henry Hudson voyaged across the Atlantic on a Dutch VOC ship and discovered New York . The Spring collection embodies the style and spirit of the “exploring kid” with touches of Dutch-inspired orange and nautical themes throughout. Toobydoo children’s wear line includes apparel, accessories and footwear. The Toobydoo aesthetic is modern and sophisticated, yet very wearable for young children. The company works with fine fabrics that are easy to play in, like cotton cashmere and cotton spandex blends. The Toobydoo Spring launch will coincide with Henry Hudson 400, a series of events celebrating the anniversary of Hudson ’s voyage and promoting cultural exchange between Amsterdam and New York .
