Buses R2, R6 and R7 will remain back to support the First XV Team. Boys on this bus, and any other boys wishing to stay back, are to wear their Blazer Dress and TGS cap on the bus travelling away. They must change into their playing gear prior to their game. Boys spectating must then change back into their Blazer to spectate the First XV. TGS Caps are to be worn instead of Akubras. If you are not on Bus R2, R6 or R7 and wish to stay back for the First XV game, you must email sport@twgs.qld.edu.au before midday Friday, 9 August.

DRESS CODE

GAME DAY INFORMATION

ROUND 5: SATURDAY, 10 AUGUST 2024

• Travel/Arrival: First XV to arrive in Full Blazer Dress. Players who are staying to watch the First teams play should travel in Blazer Dress and ensure they have their playing uniform and equipment packed. Players who are not spectating a First team are welcome to travel in their school tracksuit with their TGS training shirt. Please note, sneakers must be worn. Boys are not permitted to wear slides, thongs, crocs etc.

• Warm Up/Game: Players must wear correct TGS rugby gear. Jerseys must be tucked in and socks up.

• Mouthguards: Mouthguards are compulsory for all TGS rugby players in 2024.

• Spectators:

• For Saturday sport, any boys arriving on campus, both Home and Away, must be in School uniform, including spectators.

• Spectators or players wishing to watch the First XV must be in Blazer Dress by the time the First match commences.

• For Away Games, boys are required to wear their TGS Cap.

CANTEEN AND REFRESHMENTS

A canteen will be available on the day at BGS Northgate Playing Fields and Anglican Church Grammar School.

All TGS Rugby Buses will depart from, and return to, the Margaret Street Loop. Boys are to arrive 15 minutes before their bus departure time. Please see below Bus Masters for each Bus:

• Bus travel will be compulsory for all boys for Term 3.

• Boys are not permitted to drive themselves or others to fixtures.

• Boys can return to Toowoomba with their parents/guardians after their game; however, they MUST advise their Bus Master before departure.

TGS Boarders playing at BGS Northgate Playing Fields and Anglican Church Grammar School will receive a meal voucher to collect lunch from the away venue canteen.

A packed meal will also be provided for boarders on buses R2, R6 and R7 as these buses will remain back to support the First XV.

Parking attendants will direct traffic on entry to the complex.

Visiting schools change rooms are located at the northern end of the grandstand (on the left from Nudgee Rd) or at the change rooms at building 17.

First team change rooms are located underneath the grandstand on the northern end.

MEDICAL ATTENTION

The Medical Room is in the Medical Centre next to the game day office. Medical staff will be on duty. Trainers and medics are placed around the fields and QAS staff are on location throughout the day. TGS will also have a TGS Sport Trainers at Northgate Playing Fields.

• NO alcohol is to be consumed at this event.

• NO smoking or vaping — Brisbane Grammar School is a non-smoking campus.

• NO pets are to be brought to this event.

• Assistance animals are welcome. Due to Work Place Health and Safety, owners will be asked to supply documentation while their service animal should wear a jacket or bandana to show their accreditation to public access rights.

BGSGENERAL INFORMATION

Information

A map is available below to assist visitors in locating fields. This includes entry and exit traffic flows, oval venues, toilet facilities and medical centre.

Parking

Parking attendants will direct traffic on entry to the complex

Headmasters/Deputy’s/Directors of Sport/VIP’s Parking off from Ring Road near the Nothling Room.

Disable Parking

Parking off main entrance prior to Ring Road.

Player drop and go Around Ring Road.

Available on the right-hand side of the entry road.

Spectator Parking

Available on the left-hand side of the entry road. Exit- Will be via the exit North of spectator parking area.

Buses

Boys are to get on and off the buses at the Ring Road.Buses are to be parked in the designated bay, as directed by parking attendants at Northgate Playing Fields. Park in the bus parking area on the right-hand side of the entry road. Buses will exit via entrance gates

Visitors Change Rooms

Visiting Schools Change Roomsare available under the Northern end of the main grandstand, or at the Change rooms at 17. Firstteams rooms are located underneath the grandstand on Northern end of the main grandstand.

Referees Change Room

The room for referees is located at the front of the Nothling Building (Main Grandstand).

Toilet Facilities

Male and female public facilities are available on the southern side of the Pavilion.

Catering

Canteen facilities will be available. External Directors should approach the Match Day office for assistance.

Coaches

Coaches are required to avoid ‘walking the sideline’ and keep reserves and own school’s spectators in designated areas.

Medical Attention

The Medical Room is in the Medical Centre next to the game day office. Medical staff will be on duty. Trainers and medics are placed around the fields and QAS staff are on location throughout the day. The emergency contact number for the Medical Room is: 0401 092 315. A medical cart is based at the Medical Room, to be used by BGS Medical staff. Medical staff from visiting schools should present to the Medical Centre so as to liaise with the BGS personel.

Field Access

The GPS Association prohibits spectators from entering the playing area before, during and immediately after a game. ONLY players, coaches and officials are to access fields. No1 oval is not to be accessed by spectators, under any circumstances.

Media/Photography

Representatives of the media must sign-in at the Game Day Office upon arrival, receive permission to photograph and wear identifiable credentials. Interview requests must be approved by the Director of P.E., Sport & Activities.

Post-Match Functions

This will occur with the 1st’s players, coaches and parents requested to attend the Nothling room 15 minutes after the fixture. The presentation will last approximately 15 mins and involve light refreshments for the 1st team, staff and parents.

SERVICE/COMPANION ANIMALS SPECIFICALLY TRAINED TO AID A PERSON WITH A DISABILITY ARE WELCOME.

DUE TO WPHS OWNERS WILL BE ASKED TO SUPPLY DOCUMENTATION AS PROOF, AND THE ANIMAL SHOULD BE EASILY IDENTIFIED BY WEARING THE JACKET OR BANDANA DENOTING THE CLASSIFICATION.
