Balancing more than the Books

The phrase mumpreneur may still be a buzzword, but more and more women in Australia (and around the world) are starting their own business.

As a wife, the mother of 4 wonderful children and running 3 thriving businesses, I understand what it is like to juggle both facets of personal and professional lives.

After having children, the idea of leaving them and returning to a full-time corporate career isn’t always appealing. Then you think, why not put the skills and passion into your own venture, without missing out on the precious moments with your children.

Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy. Being a mumpreneur is that much more difficult with the competing demands and trying to maintain balance in your life. Sure, when I’m working, I feel like I should be spending time with my kids; and when I’m with my kids, I feel like I’m neglecting work. However, this guilt doesn’t stop me from aiming for success in both areas of my life. Here are some tips I have for aspiring mumpreneurs to run their business and manage their homes while keeping their sanity.
