What is an eco fire? Eco-fires run on ethanol, making them clean and environmentally friendly. As the ethanol burns, the main body of the fireplace heats and radiates warmth throughout the room. What type of combustion is used? The combustible used is ethanol, also known as ethyl alcohol, drinking alcohol or grain alcohol. It is a biofuel which can be derived from plants including corn, wheat, barley and sugarcane. How long does this type of fire burn for? The burner contained inside can hold enough fuel to burn for up to 4-6 hours depending on the heat setting, which can be adjusted for comfort. How much CO2 is produced? The combustible produces less CO2 than two medium size candles. How much heat does it produce? The Cocoon is a real heating option, not just decorative! Cocoon Fires produce approx 3.6kw, which is equivalent to a small to medium gas or electric heater. Can I convert from a hanging Cocoon to standing Cocoon or vice versa? Yes, the Cocoon Shell is the same, simply flip it over and you can purchase the hanging rod or base separately.

Design Letters is a Danish design company that showcases the famous AJ font originally hand-drawn in 1937 by the world renowned Danish architect, Arne Jacobsen. Fun fact: there was no ‘W’ in the Danish language when the font was created, so the ‘W’ was crafted later by his grandson, Tobias Jacobsen.

Bizarrely, the eames house bird was not designed by Eames. Charles and Ray Eames enriched the collage-like interior of their private home, the Eames House, with numerous objects and accessories that they brought back from their travels. For over fifty years, the figure of a black wooden bird has stood in the centre of the living room – an artefact of American folk art that was evidently highly treasured by the couple, since it also appeared frequently as an accessory in photographs taken by Charles and Ray.
