Baptist Health/Milestone wellness

Baptist Health Milestone offers an array of services. Our main goal is to keep members happy and healthy. At some point in our lives, we may experience a surgery or may be in need of physical therapy. As an extension of Baptist Health Milestone, we offer on-site physical therapy with qualified experienced therapists, and a wide range of available treatments, including aquatic therapy. This amenity is available to members and nonmembers. The plus is that Baptist Health Milestone Physical Therapy is located within the Baptist Health Milestone Wellness Center.

Throughout your treatment, our qualified physical therapists will communicate with your physician to keep them in the know with progress or concerns. Our trained

therapists will assist with a variety of health needs, including: rehab following surgery, sports related injuries, sciatica, hip and knee injuries, custom orthotics, vestibular rehabilitation, and much more. Some treatments available at our clinic include: aquatic therapy in our warm therapy pool, one-on-one training to correct faulty posture and help restore muscle balance, hands on manual therapy, and much more. Whether you are dealing with an injury or chronic pain, seeking out physical therapy can not only improve you physically but do wonders for you mentally. Movement increases the serotonin in your brain, as well as boosts endorphins. When your body is in pain, it may be diffi cult to sleep or do day to day activities. Pursuing physical therapy following an injury will be an overall positive outcome for healing. Some of our amazing therapists work closely with members and nonmembers of our Milestone facility. Pam Beury, the clinical manager, oversees the daily operations of the clinic as well as treating patients. The clinic has four full time and four part time physical therapists. They all evaluate and treat a variety of orthopedic conditions and work individually with each patient. “We develop personalized home exercise programs and have the resources to refer a patient to our knowledgeable personal training staff,” says Pam. Full time physical therapist, Siri Anseth, has been with Baptist Health since 1995 and has had the privilege of being a part of the Baptist Milestone Wellness Center since it opened in 2000. “In this ever-changing climate of healthcare, I fi nd it exciting to be in an environment where the medical world and the fi tness world coexist. I appreciate the one-on-one time with people and the importance of helping them achieve their goals,” says Siri. Please visit our facility and all the amazing amenities we have to offer! The Baptist Health Physical Therapy Clinic at the Wellness Center is open Monday through Friday, accepting most insurance plans, including Medicare. A physician referral is required for all physical therapy services. Alison Cardoza, B.S. Exercise Science and Sports Medicine with a Minor in Health Promotions from University of Louisville.
