BRITTANY SIMS

Top Agent Brittany Sims of Stafford, Virginia, works solo with Keller Williams Capital Properties, servicing all of northern Virginia and Washington D.C.

Brittany Sims of Stafford, Virginia, has launched a successful real estate business in three short years by combining her military advocacy with a deeply seated passion for problem solving. “I just like taking care of people. I saw a big void in the military community within real estate, and I heard so many horror stories about people trying to make the most of their VA loans. I felt called to solve those problems and alleviate some of the stress around housing. Now I get to advocate for people and their families, and I’m grateful to serve any way that I can.”

Prior to entering the world of real estate, Brittany enjoyed a twenty year career in the food and service industry. “I worked in restaurants for almost twenty years,” she recalls, “but my aunt and uncle had a real estate business in South Carolina. After I married a service member, I had an opportunity to get licensed, so I took it. I became a REALTOR® in North Carolina, and we got orders to move to Virginia – that’s where I started right as COVID was beginning.” During her first two full calendar years, Brittany averaged $21.5 million in total annual volume each year as a solo agent with Keller Williams Capital Properties, servicing all of northern Virginia and Washington D.C. Brittany attributes her immediate success to her knowledge of both her local markets and the needs of her clients. “I really take the time to educate my clients. I teach people, I advocate for them even after the transaction is over, and I make sure they know I am always there for them. It’s just who I am.”

Beyond supporting their real estate endeavors, Brittany also goes to great lengths to support her community every chance she gets. She is a member of the Fort Belvoir Housing Advocacy Group, which champions safe and healthy houses on military bases, and she is an active Soldier Family Readiness Leader within her husband’s battalion. “We host monthly events, encourage one another, and build systems of support to take care of each other in case of emergencies. Sometimes that means running meal trains for families, other times it’s taking in a pair of kids for a long weekend – whatever it takes.”

With her position quickly cemented in the industry, Brittany is excited to expand her business to help serve a larger geographic range and more deeply involve her colleagues. “I plan to expand in three to five years – I’m already licensed here and in North Carolina, I think South Carolina and Florida are next. In the short term, I’m just looking to work with more like minded agents. People who are relationship based and motivated by service.” When she’s not supporting her community or growing her enterprise, Brittany seizes every opportunity to spend time with her husband and five sons. “We’re an active bunch – if we’re not at a ball field or a wrestling tournament, we’re on a boat, mountain, or a beach!”
