Traditional Land Family Stuffing
Traditional LAND FAMILY STUFFING by RebeccaINGREDIENTS 1 lb. melted butter 1 qt. chicken broth 2 yellow onions 4 stalks celery 1 cup chopped parsley 3 loaves sourdough bread 2 tbsp ground sage ground pepper and salt to taste 3 tbsp chopped garlic
Step 1: Gather your ingredients Step 2: Cube all bread into 1 inch squares. Step 3: Toast bread in pre-heated 200 degree oven on flat cookie tray until dry (aprx. 45 mins) Step 4: Chop celery, onions parsley, + garlic Step 5: Melt butter Step 6: Take 3 tbsp of the melted butter into a large skillet and add onions, celery and garlic. Cook over medium heat until soft (5 to 10 minutes) stirring occasionally Step 7: Divide bread, celery, onions and garlic evenly into 3 large mixing bowls Step 8: Slowly add remaining butter and chicken broth in equal amounts to your bowls, gently using your hands to combine ingredients without smashing Step 9: Add salt, pepper, sage and chopped parsley according to taste Step 10: Spoon stuffing into a 9x13 baking dishes and cover with foil Step 11: Heat in 350 degree F oven until desired temperature
