t 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium, the Texas Tech football team will take the field for the 1,000th game in program history and kick off its 91st season. The school’s all-time record is 544-423-32, according to a Tech Athletics news release. The Red Raiders will take on Sam Houston State in the newly renovated stadium for the 1,000th game. After posting a 4-8 record in 2014, the team is not underestimating any opponents this season, senior defensive end Branden Jackson said, and every team will get their best shot. “We didn’t forget last year. Last season, they were co-champions of the Southland Conference with an 11-5 record including a 7-1 record in conference games, according to the release.
