Manolo de la Cruz

About Born in Cáceres in 1961, Manolo de la Cruz began to work with wood in his family workshop, which he still keeps. In this place, he learned to use all the stools needed to model the wood as he pleased and keep, in its interior, the secret of hours of work. With organicists and abstract shapes, the different hues of the wood merges and look like part of other dimension. These shapes keep the warmth of the wood and with its smooth touch promise to be attractive for the senses. His works have been shown at Bergamo Arte Fiera (Italy), various art gallery and exhibitions in Cáceres. Without the knowledge of art schools, Manolo de la Cruz is the proof that not always artistic concerns need academic structures. Wood, patient, has known to wait and now any piece of wood would wish pass through his hands.
