Լոյս ամենայնի, համակ ողորմած, հզօր երկնային: Եւ այժմ քայքայուած ու խորտակուած անօթն իմ հողեղէն Աստուածօրէն հրաշակերտելով, աղաչում եմ, գթա՛ծ, նորոգիր նորէն: Մեղքերով հնացած պատկերն իմ` քո ինձ տուած, Հալելով կրկին քուրաների մէջ խօսքիդ կայծակով` Պաղատում եմ քեզ, ձուլի՛ր վերստին: Հոգիս պահպանող մարմնիս խորանի շինուածքը խախտուած` հանգստարանը քո, Աղաչում եմ, ո՜վ բարերար, մաքրագործիր քեզ ի բնակութիւն: Իմ չար գործերի փոխարէն մի՛ հատուցիր նոյնը դու ինձ: Արբած եմ ես, բայց ոչ թէ գինով, ինչպէս մարգարէն է ասում. Թափիր հրամանով քո ազատարար, ամենակեցո՛յց, Մահուան բաժակիս թմրեցնող մրուրն անօրէնութեան, Որ բաժակդ ես չքամեմ վերջին օրը հատուցման: Բ Արդար ես դու իրաւունքիդ մէջ եւ յաղթող` քո դատաստանում. Թէ մատնես մահուան` ճշմարիտն արած կլինես. Թէ դատապարտես, այստեղից սկսելով կշտամբութիւնդ տանջողական` հատուցում է ճիշտ Թէ անդունդների խորքերը սուզես, Թէ կենդանութեան շարժումները դադարեցնես, Թէ զօրութիւնն իմ խօսքի ունայնացնես, Թէ պատուհաններն աչքերիս ստուերացնես, Թէ կեանքի ճաշակն ինձնից հետ առնես, Թէ ընդհանրական կերակրից ինձ զրկես, Թէ օրերիս երկարութիւնը կարճացնես, Թէ իջնող քաղցր ցողի հետ մէկտեղ վերից հուր թափես, Թէ խօսքդ լսելուց ինձ քաղցած թողնես, Թէ ականջներիս դռները խցես, 3

Թէ շնորհիդ պատկերն ինձանից կտրես, Թէ ոտքիս տակի հողը սարսես, Թէ ինձ անձկալի քո լոյսից հանես, Թէ այս աշխարհից ինձ բոլորովին դու դուրս վտարես, Թէ հրաբորբոք փայլատակումով ինձ ահաբեկես, Թէ անբուժելի ցաւերով պատժես, Թէ ինձ չարչարող դեւերին մատնես, Թէ ցասման հողմով ինձ հեռու քշես, Եւ թէ ուրիշ նոր չարչարանքների գործիքներ կազմես Տարտարոսից վատ եւ գեհենից էլ աւելի սաստիկ, Աւելի թունոտ, քան թէ որդերը, եւ քան խաւարը տարակուսելի Եւ երկիւղալի` խորխորատից էլ, եւ ողորմելի` մերկութիւնը քան,Ես ինքս անձամբ վկայում եմ, թէ արժանի եմ խիստ այդ բոլորին: Գ Եւ քանզի մեղքերս նման են իրար, Ուրեմն եւ նրանց հատուցումներն էլ պէտք է որ նման լինեն իրարու, Իբրեւ միմեանց պատկերակից, միատեսակ եւ զուգակշիռ, Այս հասկացողութեան կրողներն են, Ուստի կարեւոր է խոստովանել եւ քողը վերցնել նրանց երեսի, Որպէսզի տեսնի փնտրողը նրան եւ ծանօթանայ, Քանի որ ջերմ սիրով չմօտեցայ ես ընկերոջս կարիքներին, Իրաւացի է, որ առաջին իսկ վտանգի պահին սառեմ տագնապած: Եւ որովհետեւ ես չսանձեցի ցանկութիւններս ապերասան, Ուստի եղկելուս արժանի է, որ կրում եմ կիզումն անզովանալի: Եւ քանի որ ես չսիրեցի աւետիսը լոյսիդ` 4

Արդար է, որ ես կորստեան մէգի թանձր խաւարում խարխափեմ մոլորագնաց: Եւ քանզի խտրութիւն չդրի մանր ու մունր յանցանքների միջեւ, համարելով նրանք անվնասակար, Զազիր զեռունների խայթումներից խոցոտւում եմ արդ արժանապէս: Եւ քանի որ ես ձեռք չերկարեցի վտանգի մէջ վշտակրին օգնելու, Տեղին է, որ գարշ ապականութեան գուբին մատնուեմ: Դ Եւ արդ, ո՛չ աստուածային քո գանձերից` չարիք, Ո՛չ քո լոյսի շողերից` խաւար, Եւ ոչ էլ քեզ ապաւինելուց սայթաքումներ առաջ կգան, Այլ ես ինքս` կորստեան որդիս գտայ այս բոլորը: Բազում անօրէն մեղքերս են, որոնք նիւթեցին այսքան բարկութիւն: Մոլորեցուցիչ իշխանի կամքին հնազանդելով` նրան թողի ես քո տեղն իսկական, Ըստ Գրքի յանդիմանութեան: Ե Եւ քանզի յայտնի դարձաւ մարմնիս անդամների գաղտնիքն ու խայտառակութիւնը, Եւ երեսիս ընկաւ անվայելուչ ստուերն ամօթանքիս, ըստ մարգարէի առակի, Ինձ բոլորովին տգեղացնելով` մերկ, խայտառակուած պոռնիկի նման,Ծագիր իմ մէջ լոյսը քաւութեան, երկնաւո՛ր արքա, Որպէսզի թոթափելով մեղքերիս փոշին, Աւետեաց ձայնը լսած, Բաբելոնից ետ դարձողների պէս, 5

Հողից վեր կենալով` վերստին նստեմ, Եւ անսասան` յոյսիդ ամրութեանը հիմնուելով, ինչպէս Եսային է ասել, Նախնի մաքրութեամբ հագնեմքո բազկի զօրութիւնը կարող, Քո քաղցր փառքի մեծութեան համար եւ աստուածութեանդ ամենապարգեւ, Օրհնեա՜լ յաւիտեանս. ամէն: ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Պարգեւատու բարիքներու եւ խաղաղութեան աղբիւր, Տէ՜ր Աստուած մեր, սատանայական բոլոր խռովութիւններէն խաղաղացուր մեր միտքնու խորհուրդները, թէ՜ այս գիշեր եւ թէ՜ ամէն ժամանակ։ Որպէսզի առաջնորդուելով անցաւոր այս կեանքին մէջ, հասնինք երկնային յաւիտենական թագաւորութեանդ, զոր աշխարհի սկիզբէն իսկ պատրաստեցիր Քու սուրբերուդ համար. եւ անոնց հետ գոհանալով փառաւորենք Հայրը, եւ Որդին եւ Սուրբ Հոգիդ, այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն։ ՊՕՂՈՍ ԱՌԱՔԵԱԼԻ ԿՈՐՆԹԱՑԻՆԵՐՈՒՆ ԳՐԱԾ ԱՌԱՋԻՆ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 6: 12- 20 Ամէն բան ինծի արտօնուած է, բայց ամէն բան օգտակար չէ: Ամէն բան ինծի արտօնուած է, բայց ես ո՛չ մէկուն իշխանութեան տակ պիտի ըլլամ: Կերակուրները փորին համար են, փորն ալ՝ կերակուրներուն. բայց Աստուած ասիկա՛ ալ, անո՛նք ալ պիտի ոչնչացնէ: Իսկ մարմինը պոռնկութեան համար չէ, հապա՝ Տէրոջ, ու Տէրը՝ մարմինին համար: Եւ Աստուած՝ որ յարուցանեց Տէրը, պիտի յարուցանէ նաեւ մե՛զ՝ իր զօրութեամբ: Չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ ձեր մարմինները 6

Քրիստոսի անդամներն են: Ուրեմն Քրիստոսի անդամները առնելով պոռնիկի անդամնե՞ր ընեմ: Ամե՛նեւին: Չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ ա՛ն որ պոռնիկի կը միանայ, անոր հետ մէկ մարմին կ՚ըլլայ. քանի որ Գիրքը կ՚ըսէ. «Երկուքը պիտի ըլլան մէ՛կ մարմին»: Իսկ ա՛ն որ Տէրոջ կը միանայ, անոր հետ մէկ հոգի կ՚ըլլայ: Փախէ՛ք պոռնկութենէն: Ամէն մեղք՝ որ մարդ կը գործէ, իր մարմինէն դուրս է. բայց ա՛ն որ կը պոռնկի, կը մեղանչէ իր մարմինի՛ն դէմ: Չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ ձեր մարմինը տաճարն է Սուրբ Հոգիին՝ որ ձեր մէջն է. զայն Աստուծմէ ստացաք, եւ դուք ձեզի չէք պատկանիր, քանի որ մեծ գինով մը գնուեցաք. ուստի փառաւորեցէ՛ք Աստուած ձեր մարմինին ու ձեր հոգիին մէջ, որոնք կը պատկանին Աստուծոյ: ԲԺՇԿՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Փարատէ՛ ցաւերը եւ բժշկէ՛ հիւանդութիւնները քու ժողովուրդէդ, Տէր Աստուած մեր եւ բոլորին կատարեալ առողջութի՛ւն շնորհէ` Քու ամենայաղթ խաչիդ նշանով, որուն միջոցով մարդկութեան տկարութիւնը վերցուցիր եւ դատապարտեցիր մեր կեանքի եւ փրկութեան թշնամին: Դուն ես մեր կեանքն ու փրկութիւնը, բարերար եւ բազումողորմ Աստուած. միայն Դո՛ւ կրնաս ներել մեր մեղքերը եւ մեզմէ հեռացնել ախտերն ու հիւանդութիւնները. Քեզի յայտնի են մեր կարիքները: Բարիքներ պարգեւող, առատ ողորմութիւնդ պարգեւէ՛ քու արարածներուդ՝ իւրաքանչիւրին ըստ իր պէտքին, որովհետեւ արարածներուդ միջոցով միշտ կը գովաբանուի Ամենասուրբ Երրորդութիւնդ. Այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն: 7

ՊԱՀՊԱՆՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Պահպանիչ եւ հաւատացեալներու յոյս, Քրիստոս Աստուած մեր, պահէ պահպանէ եւ օրհնէ Հայոց ազգը եւ Հայաստանեայց Եկեղեցին. READING: FROM MADYAN VOGHPERKOUTYAN (NAREG) Prayer 19 Speaking with God from the Depths of the Heart A Hear, all-seeing vision of hope and goodness of life, the profuse sighs of my hurting soul, unreachable greatness, fearful name, living word, longed for message, delectable taste, worshipful calling, confessed beneficence, sweet perception, professed reality, glorious essence, blessed existence, Lord Christ, praised and worshiped with your Father and exalted and proclaimed with the Holy Spirit, who alone became human like us for our sakes, so that you might make us like you for your sake, light unto all, merciful, almighty and heavenly in all ways, I pray that with your divine miracle-working power, 10

compassionate God, you restore this, my collapsing broken earthen vessel. And I pray that you recast the image you gave me, worn by sin, in the lightning crucible of your word. Cleanse the temple of my body, the vessel of my soul, the altar of your repose, as your dwelling place, I pray you, O doer of good. Do not repay my evil deeds with evil. I am drunk, in the words of the prophet, but not with wine. Empty out the dregs of iniquity from my stupefying cup of death. And by the command of your salvation, giver of all life, let me with the last drop of your cup be spared on the day of judgment. B You are just in your law and triumphant in your judgment. If you hand down a death sentence, your action is right. If you reprimand before giving a stern condemnation, your decision is just. If you cast me into the abyss or still the movement of life, if you silence my power of speech, or darken the windows of my eyes, if you check my joy in life, or impair my ability to be nourished by ordinary food, if you reduce the richness of my days, or make drops of fire fall along with the dew drops, if you starve me by your silence, 11

or shut the doors of my ears, if you cut off the bounty of your grace, or make the earth move under my feet, if you shut off the light of your countenance for which I yearn, or expel me from this world completely, if you terrify me with a lightening bolt, or condemn me to incurable pain, if you betray me to the demons of evil, or chew me up in the jaws of beasts, if you blow me away in billowing anger, or invent some new torture, more evil than Tartaros, more severe than Gehenna, more vile than maggots, more anguishing than darkness, more terrifying than the abyss, more pitiful than nakedness, I will testify against myself that I deserve these and more. C And since the punishments always match the sins they are for, like mirror images, identical, parallel, emblematic of the wrong, it is important to confess and lift the veil from my face to one who seeks to know me. For as I did not tend the needs of my fellow man with warm charity, it is right that I freeze with fear at the first sign of danger. And since I did not check my willful pride, it is fair that I should be consumed with unbridled disgrace. And since I did not love the light 12

of the good news, it is just that I should be condemned to grope in the darkness of ignorance and fog of perdition. And since I paid no heed to small faults, considering them harmless, it is fitting for me to be wounded by the stings of insects. And since I did not lend a helping hand to those in danger, it is proper for me to be cast into a pit of filth. D But evil is not from your Godly bounty, source of all good, and darkness is not from your radiant light. And temptation is not part of your protection. No, I found these myself like a destructive child. And the mounting sins of my iniquity have justified your anger. As the good book warns I became the servant of the prince of iniquity, giving him your place. E And since the scandal, the most private secret, has been uncovered and its shamefulness leaves a mark upon my face. I show myself, as in the parable of the prophet, in complete offensiveness like a naked prostitute. Rekindle your light of atonement in me, heavenly king, so that shaking off the dust of sin, my soul can stand upright like the people returning from Babylon, having heard the voice of good tidings. And I will be able to sit up again, on the firm foundation of your unshakable hope. In the words of the prophet Isaiah, 13

I shall be clothed in my former purity by your mighty hand, for the sweetness of your all-giving divinity and your great glory. Blessed forever. Amen. PRAYER Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy Beneficent Lord, who, by your great mercy, has prepared eternal tranquility for those who labor virtuously and has called to yourself with a sweet, loving voice those that are heavy-laden and weary with sin, promising them rest. Grant us also, O Lord, to pass this night in undisturbed peace and to us, laboring under the weight of sin, keep us safe by your mercy and make us worthy of perpetual rest with all your saints. And let us thankfully glorify you with the Father and the All-Holy Spirit; now and always and unto the ages of ages. Amen. 1 CORINTHIANS: 6: 12- 20 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 14

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies. PRAYER FOR THE SICK Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy Dispel the pain and heal the sickness of thy people, Lord our God and grant to all perfect health by the sign of thine all-conquering cross through which thou removed the weakness of mankind and condemned the enemy of our life and salvation. Thou art our life and salvation, beneficent and all merciful God, who alone can forgive us our sins and remove diseases and sickness from us, to whom are known our needs and necessities. Bestower of gifts, grant thy bounteous mercy to thy creatures according to their individual needs, through whom thy Holy Trinity is always glorified and praised, now and always and forever and ever. Lord have mercy Guardian and hope of the faithful Christ our God, guard, protect and bless Armenian Nation and Armenian Church, under the shadow of Thine holy and precious Cross in peace.
