ՏԷՐՈՒՆԱԿԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Օրհնեալ Տէր մեր Յիսուս Քրիստոս. ամէն: Հայր մեր, որ յերկինս ես, սուրբ եղիցի անուն քո: Եկեսցէ արքայութիւն քո, եղիցին կամք քո որպէս յերկինս եւ յերկրի: Զհաց մեր հանապազորդ տուր մեզ այսօր, եւ թող մեզ զպարտիս մեր, որպէս եւ մեք թողումք մերոց պարտապանաց: Եւ մի տանիր զմեզ ի փորձութիւն, այլ փրկեա զմեզ ի չարէ: Զի քո է արքայութիւն եւ զօրութիւն եւ փառք յաւիտեանս. ամէն։ ԸՆԹԵՐՑՈՒՄ ՄԱՏԵԱՆ ՈՂԲԵՐԳՈՒԹԵՆԷՆ (ՆԱՐԵԿ) ԲԱՆ ԽԶ ՍՐՏԻ ԽՈՐՔԵՐԻՑ ԽՈՍՔ ԱՍՏԾՈՅ ՀԵՏ Ա Վրիպեալս ես ամենայն անգամ, ամենապատիժ, Միշտ դժնեայ վայրենաբարո, մահով եմ անձամբ կշտամբում ինքս ինձ. Ինչպէս արոտական խոզերի զազիր եւ վայրագասուն երամակներ` Գարշելի մեղքեր արածացնող եմ ես նախատելի վարձով. Ամայաբնակ ուլերի հորանը խնամող հովիւ եմ ես մի Տաւարածների վրանների մօտ, Ըստ Երգ-երգոցի առակի, որ ինձ է վերաբերում, Ինձ, որ չեմ ճանաչում նոյնիսկ ու չգիտեմ երբէք, Թէ որի՞ ձեռքով եւ ո՞ւմ պատկերով, ինչո՛ւ գոյացայ: 2
Բ Ահա՛ մարմինդ կրող երկու միակցորդ ու խորհրդակից ոտքերիդ վրայ Հրեշտակի ձեւով ես կառուցուել դու, Որպէսզի երկու վերեւ բարձրացած քո բազուկներով վերասլացիկ, Իբրեւ թռչելու համար թեւ առած` դիտես հայրենի աշխարհը բարձրից: Ո՜վ յիմար, ինչո՞ւ ինքդ քո կամքով կորացար գետնին, Եւ միշտ աշխարհի չնչին ու ճղճիմ հոգսերով տարուած` Անապատական ցիռերի կարգը դասեցիր դու քեզ: Մարմնիդ աշտանակի վրայ իբրեւ ճրագ բազմականթեղեան` Գլխիդ կլորութիւնը հաստատուեց, Որպէսզի այդպիսով, չհեռանալով օրինակելի լոյսի շնորհից, Տեսնես Աստծուն եւ անանցանելիքն իմաստասիրես: Բանականութեան պատուով կրկնապէս ճոխացար, Որպէսզի վերուստ քեզ տրուած բոլոր բարեմասնութեանց Յաղթանակը դու պատմես անարգել անկաշկանդ լեզվով: Մատնելով յարմարապէս ճիւղաւորուած ճարտար քո ձեռքերով Գործելուդ համար եւ կառուցելու` Աստուած կոչուեցիր` Համացեղութեամբ իբրեւ գործակից ամենապարգեւ աջին Աստծոյ: Երեք հարիւր վաթսուն յօդերով դու շաղկապուեցիր, Միացնելով նրանց քո մէջ պատշաճող թիւը հինգ զգայարանքների, Որպէսզի արտաքին առերեւոյթ նիւթեղէն շինուածքդ Չմնայ մտքիդ տեսութեան կողմից անքննադատելի. Զի ոմանք դրանցից ստուար են եւ զօրաւոր, Եւ ուրիշներ` փոքր են ու պիտանի, Կան, որ կարծրակերտ են եւ` զգայուն, 3
Եւ դարձեալ, որ գողտրիկ են ու պատուականագոյն, Ինչպէս նաեւ կան, որ կարեւոր են եւ ամօթալի: Իսկ բացատրութիւններն այդ բոլորի քո մէջ են նկարուած, Իբր անջնջելի արձանի վրայ, ա՜նձն իմ եղկելի. Որի միտքն այն է, թէ ժամանակի մասն ամենափոքր ու տարին կազմող բոլոր օրերի կարգն յաջորդական Սահմանուած` մարմնի մասերի թուով Անսխալ կերպով անայլայլելի` պահուած են այնտեղ: Գ Կա եւ հոգեւոր մի այլ օրինակ,Սիրոյ յօդերով շաղկապուած ի մի սուրբ Եկեղեցու միութիւնն է այդ, Որի խորհուրդը դարձեալ քեզանով է մեկնաբանւում. Այնպէս որ առանց բոլոր մասերի իրար հետ ամուր սերտ կապակցութեան` Մեծը փոքրի հետ համաձայնուած մի ընդհանուր լծի ներքոյ Քրիստոսի անուամբ հալածանքների շենքի կատարելութիւնը վնասուած կլինի: Ինչպէս որ մարմնին պատուաստուած աննշան անդամներից մէկն եթէ կտրուի եւ կամ պակասի` Կրճատուած կլինի մարմնի կազմուածքը, որ զգայական սենեակն է մարդու, Որով եւ ահա՜, պատկերն ընտանի կենթարկուի անարգ մի փոփոխութեան: Ուրեմն այսպիսով, ինչպէս եւ բազում այլ անզուգական հրաշակերտութեամբ ստեղծուած` Աստծոյ հարազատ պատկերն ես դու, հոգի՛դ իմ գերի, իսպառ կշտամբուած: Թէեւ առաջին նմանութիւնիցդ կողոպտուեցիր, Կենաց դրախտում մեղանչելով պատուիրանի դէմ, Բայց աւազանի լուսազարդ շնորհով, Հոգու փչումն ընդունելով, 4
Նախկին նոյն պատկերն ստացար դարձեալ: Դ Եւ այժմ ինչո՞ւ կորցրիր դու այդ փառքը երկնաւոր, Ինչպէս կորցրեց նախաստեղծն երբեմն վիճակն երկնաւոր` Ադեն դրախտում: Ինչո՞ւ ինքդ քո ձեռքով փակեցիր երկինքը քեզ համար, Եւ վերելքի դուռը կողպեցիր քո առաջ. Ինչո՞ւ խառնեցիր մաքուր ջրի հետ աղտն արցունքներիդ. Ինչո՞ւ լուացուած ձորձը` գարշելի գործերով զազրելի դարձրիր, Ինչո՞ւ մեղքերի պատմուճանդ հանած` նորից հագար այն անառակ վարքով. Ինչո՞ւ ժանտերի ճամփով գնալով ոտքերիդ մաքրութիւնն աղտեղեցիր. Ինչո՞ւ կրկնեցիր իրաւադատին ուխտազանցութիւնն հին պատուիրանի. Ինչո՞ւ զրկուեցիր շնորհաց պտղից, ինչպէս Ադամը` կենաց ծառից. Ինչո՞ւ նենգեցիր ինքդ կամովին յաւերժութիւնը անստուեր յոյսի. Ինչո՞ւ թոյլ տուիր, որ անհամարձակ` ծածկուի դէմքդ սաստիկ ամօթից. Ինչո՞ւ զինուեցիր դու ինքդ քո դէմ հակառակուելով, ո՜վ ընդունարան խելագարութեան. Ինչո՞ւ որս եղար մահուան ծուղակին, թողած արահետը վստահելի. Ինչո՞ւ պատրանքների կարթով բռնուեցիր, կենդանարարի մարմնին հաղորդակի՛ցդ դու: Բայց դու վերստին յուսալով նրան` պաղատի՛ր առ նա, Որ ապաւէն է, քաւիչ, նորոգիչ, փրկիչ, կեցուցիչ եւ կենդանարար, Ողորմած, խնամող, մարդասէր եւ անոխակալ, 5
Բազմագութ, օրհնեալ յաւիտեանս. ամէն: ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Քու Խաչդ թող մեզի ապաւէն ըլլայ, Տէ՜ր Յիսուս, երբ Հօրը փառքով երեւիս՝ լուսաւոր ամպերու վրայ: Այն ատեն թող ամօթով չմնա՛նք մենք՝ Քեզի յուսացողներս, այլ Քու մեծ զօրութեամբդ ուրախանանք՝ Քու աջ կողմդ բազմած, իբրեւ լոյսի որդիներ եւ փրկութեան ժառանգորդներ: Ամէն: ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆ ԸՍՏ ՅՈՎՀԱՆՆԷՍԻ 1: 1- 13 Սկիզբէն էր Խօսքը, ու Խօսքը Աստուծոյ քով էր, եւ Խօսքը Աստուած էր. ան սկիզբէն Աստուծոյ քով էր: Ամէն ինչ եղաւ անո՛վ. եղածներէն ո՛չ մէկը եղաւ առանց անոր: Կեանքը անով էր, ու կեանքը մարդոց լոյսն էր. լոյսը կը փայլէր խաւարի մէջ, բայց խաւարը չճանչցաւ զայն: Աստուծմէ ղրկուած մարդ մը կար՝ որուն անունը Յովհաննէս էր: Ասիկա եկաւ վկայութեան համար՝ որ վկայէ Լոյսին մասին, որպէսզի բոլորը հաւատան անոր միջոցով: Ինք չէր այդ Լոյսը, հապա եկաւ՝ որպէսզի վկայէ Լոյսին մասին: Ճշմարիտ Լոյսը ա՛ն էր՝ որ կը լուսաւորէ աշխարհ եկող՝՝ ամէն մարդ: Ինք աշխարհի մէջ էր, եւ աշխարհը եղաւ իրմով, բայց աշխարհը չճանչցաւ զինք: Իրեններուն եկաւ, սակայն իրենները չընդունեցին զինք: Բայց անոնց՝ որ ընդունեցին զինք – անոնց՝ որ կը հաւատան իր անունին - իրաւասութիւն տուաւ Աստուծոյ զաւակներ ըլլալու: Անոնք ո՛չ արիւնէն եւ ո՛չ մարմինի կամքէն ծնան, ո՛չ ալ մարդու կամքէն, հապա՝ Աստուծմէ:

ԲԺՇԿՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Փարատէ՛ ցաւերը եւ բժշկէ՛ հիւանդութիւնները քու ժողովուրդէդ, Տէր Աստուած մեր եւ բոլորին կատարեալ առողջութի՛ւն շնորհէ` Քու ամենայաղթ խաչիդ նշանով, որուն միջոցով մարդկութեան տկարութիւնը վերցուցիր եւ դատապարտեցիր մեր կեանքի եւ փրկութեան թշնամին: Դուն ես մեր կեանքն ու փրկութիւնը, բարերար եւ բազումողորմ Աստուած. միայն Դո՛ւ կրնաս ներել մեր մեղքերը եւ մեզմէ հեռացնել ախտերն ու հիւանդութիւնները. Քեզի յայտնի են մեր կարիքները: Բարիքներ պարգեւող, առատ ողորմութիւնդ պարգեւէ՛ քու արարածներուդ՝ իւրաքանչիւրին ըստ իր պէտքին, որովհետեւ արարածներուդ միջոցով միշտ կը գովաբանուի Ամենասուրբ Երրորդութիւնդ. Այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն: ՔԱՐՈԶ Սուրբ Խաչով Տիրոջը աղաչենք, որպէսզի սրանով փրկէ մեզ մեղքերէն եւ Իր ողորմութեան շնորհով պահէ մեզ: Ամենակալ Տէր Աստուած մեր, ապրեցու՛ր եւ ողորմէ՛: ՊԱՀՊԱՆՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Պահպանիչ եւ հաւատացեալներու յոյս, Քրիստոս Աստուած մեր, պահէ պահպանէ եւ օրհնէ Հայոց ազգը եւ Հայաստանեայց Եկեղեցին. 7

READING: FROM MADYAN VOGHPERKOUTYAN (NAREG) Prayer 46 Speaking with God from the Depths of the Heart A Now I am lost, forever punishable, always immoral, condemning myself to death, shepherd of a flock of fetid sin, a flock of wild boars, a despicable mercenary, a shepherd watching a flock of desert goats. The image of the shepherds’ tent in the Song of Songs aptly applies to me, for I do not know or understand, by whom, in whose image or why I was created. B Behold, you were formed like an angel, 9
on two feet that take and bring you, as if in flight on two wings lifting you upward, to gaze down on my fatherland. O fool, why did you choose to be earthbound, always preoccupied with the worldliness of the here and now, carrying on like wild asses in the desert? On the lamp stand of your body, encircling your head, a chandelier with many arms was placed, so that by its light you might not stray and might see God and know what is everlasting. You were doubly endowed in the womb of reason, so that you might speak with an unfettered tongue of the victory of the good things given you. And you were endowed with artful hands and nimble fingers to carry out the practical affairs of daily life like the all-giving right hand of God, that you might be called God. You are assembled of 360 parts and five senses, the number of the days of the year, and no aspect of your physical being remains invisible to your sight or unstudied by your mind. For some parts are thick and strong, some are small and others necessary, some are sturdy but sensitive, some are sublime, important and noble, some are necessary but humble, and the explanation of the image of these things is engraved on you as on an uneraseable monument, wretched soul of mine, so that like the elements of time and the continuous train of days around the year 10
by some inner law these parts function in unerring and inalterable order. C And now another spiritual image, tied to the bonds of love uniting the church, is also reflected within you. Like the yoke that mediates between the great and the lowly, the assembled body established in the name of Christ is sometimes impaired, as with the cutting off or loss of an unruly organ, infecting the body. Something is lost in your mortal structure, feeling abode of mankind, and the usual shape of the person undergoes some disfigurement. And now when the uniquely miraculous structure in the living image of God, is completely condemned, my enslaved soul, that original likeness is stolen from you as by breaking the law in the Garden of Eden. But by the light of the baptismal font the breath of the Holy Spirit is received and the image is restored to God’s likeness. D And now, why did you give up heavenly glory like the original man Adam did in the earthly Garden of Eden? Why did you yourself close heaven and lock the door to ascent? Why did you mix the clean water with 11
impurities of bitter tears? Why did you soil newly washed clothes with dirty work? Why did you put off the clothes given you and put on the cloak of sin? Why did you infect the purity of your feet by taking the path of the fallen? Why did you repeat the violation of just vows of the Old Testament? Why did you refuse the fruit of grace, as Adam did the tree of life? Why did you willfully lose the unshadowed hope of eternity? Why did you cover your face with brazen shame? Why did you arm your enemies against you, repository of stupidity? Why did you venture into the snares of death, abandoning the way of faith? Why did you get caught on the fishhook of deception, you who share the body of the life giver? But again, relying upon him, call to him, the redeemer of those seeking refuge, renewer, savior, life maker and life giver, merciful, caring, lover of humanity, ungrudging, generously compassionate, blessed forever. Amen. PRAYER Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy Lord Jesus Christ, let Your Cross be our refuge, when by the glory of Father, you appear on the clouds of light. Please guide us, who trust in You, not to let you down, but rejoice in Your power by 12
your right side, as the children of light and the heirs of salvation. Amen. GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN: 1: 1- 13 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. PRAYER FOR THE SICK Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy Dispel the pain and heal the sickness of thy people, Lord our God and grant to all perfect health by the sign of thine all-conquering cross through which thou removed the weakness of mankind and condemned the enemy of our life and salvation. Thou art our life and salvation, beneficent and all merciful God, who alone can 13
forgive us our sins and remove diseases and sickness from us, to whom are known our needs and necessities. Bestower of gifts, grant thy bounteous mercy to thy creatures according to their individual needs, through whom thy Holy Trinity is always glorified and praised, now and always and forever and ever. Amen. LITANY By the Holy Cross let us beseech the Lord, that through it he may deliver us from our sins and save us by the grace of his mercy. Almighty Lord our God, save us and have mercy upon us.
