ՅՈՎՀԱՆՆԷՍ ԱՌԱՔ. ԸՆԴՀԱՆՐԱԿԱՆ 1-ԻՆ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 5: 13- 21 Գրեցի այս բաները ձեզի՝ որ կը հաւատաք Աստուծոյ Որդիին անունին, որպէսզի գիտնաք թէ ունիք յաւիտենական կեանքը: Այն համարձակութիւնը որ ունինք անոր քով՝ սա՛ է.- եթէ որեւէ բան խնդրենք իր կամքին համաձայն, կը լսէ մեզ: Ու եթէ գիտե՛նք թէ կը լսէ մեզ՝ ի՛նչ որ ալ խնդրենք, գիտենք նաեւ թէ կ՚ունենանք այն բաները՝ որ կը խնդրենք իրմէ: Եթէ մէկը տեսնէ թէ իր եղբայրը կը գործէ մեղք մը՝ որ մահացու չէ, թող խնդրէ, եւ Աստուած կեանք պիտի տայ անոր, այսինքն անոնց՝ որ մահացու մեղք չեն գործեր: Մեղք կայ՝ որ մահացու է. չեմ ըսեր որ թախանձէ անոր համար: Ամէն անիրաւութիւն մեղք է, բայց մեղք կայ՝ որ մահացու չէ: Գիտենք թէ ո՛վ որ Աստուծմէ ծնած է՝ չի մեղանչեր: Ո՛վ որ Աստուծմէ ծնած է՝ կը պահէ ինքզինք, ու Չարը չի դպչիր իրեն: Գիտենք թէ մենք Աստուծմէ ենք, իսկ ամբողջ աշխարհը Չարին մէջ մխրըճւած է: Նաեւ գիտենք թէ Աստուծոյ Որդին եկաւ, եւ ուշիմութիւն տըւաւ մեզի՝ որպէսզի ճանչնանք Ճշմարիտը: Ու մենք այդ Ճշմարիտին մէջ ենք, անոր Որդիին՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի մէջ. ի՛նքն է ճշմարիտ Աստուածը եւ յաւիտենական կեանքը: Որդեակնե՛ր, զգուշացէ՛ք կուռքերէն:
ՅՈՎՀԱՆՆՈՒ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 12: 12- 23 Հետեւեալ օրը՝ մեծ բազմութիւն մը, որ եկած էր տօնին, երբ լսեց թէ Յիսուս կու գայ Երուսաղէմ, առաւ արմաւենիի ոստեր, դուրս ելաւ զայն դիմաւորելու, եւ կ՚աղաղակէր. «Ովսաննա՜, օրհնեա՜լ է Իսրայէլի թագաւորը՝ որ կու գայ Տէրոջ անունով»: Յիսուս՝ գտնելով աւանակ մը՝ նստաւ անոր վրայ, ինչպէս գրուած է. «Մի՛ վախնար, 3
Սիոնի՛ աղջիկ. ահա՛ Թագաւորդ կու գայ՝ նստած իշու աւանակի վրայ»: Անոր աշակերտները նախապէս չհասկցան այդ բաները. բայց երբ Յիսուս փառաւորուեցաւ, այն ատեն յիշեցին թէ ատոնք գրուած էին անոր մասին, եւ թէ իրենք ըրին անոր այդ բաները: Իրեն հետ եղող բազմութիւնը կը վկայէր թէ գերեզմանէն դուրս կանչեց Ղազարոսը ու մեռելներէն յարուցանեց զայն: Այս պատճառով ալ բազմութիւնը դիմաւորեց զինք, որովհետեւ լսեցին թէ ի՛նք ըրած էր այս նշանը: Իսկ Փարիսեցիները կ՚ըսէին իրարու. «Կը նշմարէ՞ք թէ անօգուտ է. ահա՛ ամբողջ աշխարհը կը հետեւի անոր՝՝»: Հոն՝ տօնին երկրպագելու բարձրացողներուն մէջ՝ քանի մը Յոյներ կային: Ասոնք մօտեցան Փիլիպպոսի, որ Գալիլեայի Բեթսայիդայէն էր, ու կը թախանձէին անոր՝ ըսելով. «Տէ՛ր, կ՚ուզենք Յիսո՛ւսը տեսնել»: Փիլիպպոս եկաւ եւ ըսաւ Անդրէասի, ապա դարձեալ Անդրէաս ու Փիլիպպոս միասին ըսին Յիսուսի: Յիսուս ալ պատասխանեց անոնց. «Ժամը հասաւ՝ որ մարդու Որդին փառաւորուի:
1 JOHN 5: 13- 21 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death. We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true.

And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.
JOHN 12: 12- 23 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna!”, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”, “Blessed is the king of Israel!” Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written: “Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him. Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him. So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!” Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.” Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus. Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

ԵՐԿՐՈՐԴ ԾԱՂԿԱԶԱՐԴ Այս Կիրակի Մայիս 24-ին, Հայց. Առաք. Եկեղեցին կը տօնէ Երկրորդ Ծաղկազարդը: Այս տօնի անուանումն առնուած է Ս. Յարութեան տօնին նախորդող Կիրակիի՝ Ծաղկազարդի օրինակով: Եթէ Ծաղկազարդի տօնը կը խորհրդանշէ Քրիստոսի յաղթական մուտ-
քը Երուսաղէմ, ուր մարդիկ Տէրոջը ցնծութեամբ կը դիմաւորէին, ապա՝ Երկրորդ Ծաղկազարդը կը յիշատակէ համբարձեալ Քրիստոսի մուտքը Վերին Երուսաղէմ, ուր Աստուածորդուն փառաբանութեամբ կը դիմաւորէին հրեշտակները: Երկրորդ Ծաղկազարդը եկեղեցական տօնացոյցի մէջ հաստատւած է Գրիգոր Բ. Վկայասէր Կաթողիկոսի կողմէ եւ զայն կը տօնէ միայն Հայ եկեղեցին: Այս օրը շատ նմանութիւններ ունի առաջին Ծաղկազարդին, քանի որ նոյն պաշտամունքը կը մատուցուի, կ'ընթերցուին նոյն շարականները: Երկրորդ Ծաղկազարդի առիթով մեզի հասած է սքանչելի աւանդութիւն մը հայոց պատմութեան էջերէն.
«Մեր հաւատքի Հայրը Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորիչ, իր խոր վիրապային բանտարկութեան ընթացքին, կը վայելէ այցելութիւնը եւ 6
ներկայութիւնը երկնային էակի մը: Կը պատահի որ Համբարձման չորրորդ օրը բացակայի այդ հրեշտակը. ու յաջորդ օրը երբ Լուսաւորիչ կը հարցնէ պատճառը՝ Հրեշտակը կը բացատրէ, որ ամէն տարի Քրիստոսի երկինք յաղթական վերադարձը փառաբանելու համար, ինը օրեր շարունակ հանդէսներ կը սարքուին հրեշտակներու ինը դասակարգերու կողմէ։ Եւ որովհետեւ ինք կը պատկանէր հրեշտակաց չորրորդ դասուն, ուստի պարտաւոր էր այդ օր իր խումբին հետ ըլլալ, հանդիսադրելու համար Յիսուսի երկինք մուտքի Չորրորդ օրը»։ (Շնորհք Պատրիարք) Ներսէս Շնորհալիի եղբօր՝ Գրիգոր Գ. Պահլաւունի Կաթողիկոսի (1113-1166) գրած «Մեծահրաշ այս խորհուրդ» շարականը օրուայ ընթերցուող շարականներէն է եւ նուիրուած է այս գեղեցիկ ազգային աւանդութեան: Երկրորդ Ծաղկազարդը կը հանդիպի Հոգեգալստեան տօնին նախորդող Կիրակիին, կամ Զատկուայ եօթերորդ Կիրակիին եւ ունի 35 օրուայ շարժականութիւն (Մայիս 3-էն Յունիս 6-ը):
SECOND PALM SUNDAY This Sunday May 24, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Second Palm Sunday. This holiday is named after the Palm Sunday and the church service is similar and the same hymns are read. On Palm Sunday we celebrate Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem where people welcomed Him with palms, olive branches and cries of Hosanna. On Second Palm Sunday we celebrate Ascended Christ's triumphant entry into heavenly Jerusalem, where He is greeted with praise and delight by angels. Specific only to the Armenian church, the Second Palm Sunday was established by Catholicos Gregory II Vegayaser and is based on a marvellous event from the history of our church. According to tradition, during St. Gregory the Illuminator’s imprisonment in the pit, every day he was visited by the same angel. However one day, the angel did not come. The following morning, St. Gregory asked him about the reason for his absence. The angel responded, that during His Ascension, Christ had passed through the 9 ranks of the Angels, and they celebrate that feast every year. The angel 7
visiting St. Gregory was from the fourth rank of angelic hosts, therefore, his rank of angels commemorates and celebrates Christ’s Ascension to heaven on the fourth day following the Ascension. The Second Palm Sunday falls on the fourth day following the Ascension of our Lord, has a 35 days movability and meets from May 3 to June 6. ԳԻՏԷ՞ԻՐ ԹԷ... Գրիգոր Բ. կաթողիկոսը (1066-1105) ինքզինքը նուիրած էր կրօնաւորական բարեպաշտութեան եւ գրական աշխատութիւններու: Կաթողիկոսը յոյն եւ ասորի աղբիւրներէն հայերէնի թարգմանած է մարտիրոսներու վկայաբանութիւնները եւ այդ իսկ պատճառով ստացած է Վկայասէր մականունը: DID YOU KNOW?... Gregory II Vgayaser was the Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church between 1066 and 1105. He was the son of Gregory Magistros Bahlavuni. He was nicknamed Vgayaser(fond of martyrs), because he collected relics and legends of saints with great zeal and had had compiled and translated the memoirs of Christian martyrs. 8
ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹԵԱՆ ՕՐ Ամէն տարի Մայիս 28-ին Հայ ազգը կը նշէ Հայաստանի Առաջին Հարապետութեան հռչակման օրը: Սարդարապատ, Բաշ Ապարան եւ Ղարաքիլիսա յաղթելով թրքական բանակը՝ հայկական զօրքերը կարողացան կասեցնել թուրքերու ներխուժումը Անդրկովկաս եւ փրկել Հայաստանը լիակատար ոչնչացումէ: 1918թ. Մայիս 28-ին, Թիֆլիսի մէջ Անդրկովկասեան Ժողովրդավարական Դաշնային Հանրապետութեան փլուզումէն ետք, «Հայկական Ազգային Խորհուրդի» կողմէ հռչակուեցաւ Հայկական Հանրապետութիւնը: Յովհաննէս Քաջազնունի նշանակուեցաւ անկախ Հայաստանի առաջին Վարչապետ: Երեւանը դարձաւ Հայաստանի մայրաքաղաքը: Սակայն, Հայաստանի առաջին հանրապետութիւնը ունեցաւ ընդամէնը 2 տարուայ կեանք՝ մինչեւ 1920թ. Դեկտեմբեր, երբ Երեւան մտան 11-րդ Կարմիր բանակի զօրամասերը եւ հանրապետութիւնը խորհրդայնացուեցաւ: Վերջին Վարչապետն էր Սիմոն Վրացեանը: 1991 թ. Հայաստանի ԽՍՀ-ն հռչակեց իր անկախութիւնը եւ Մայիս 28-ը խորհրդարանի կողմէ սահմանուեցաւ որպէս ոչ աշխատանքային օր:
THE FIRST REPUBLIC DAY Every year on May 28, the Armenian nation is celebrating the establishment of the First Republic of Armenia in 1918. After defeating the Turkish army in Sardarabad, Bash-Aparan, Gharakhilisa, the Armenian troops succeeded not only in stopping the Turkish intervention of Transcaucasian region, but also prevented Armenia from complete elimination. On May 28, 1918, the Armenian National Council declared the independence of Armenia, following the fall of the Transcaucasian Democratic Federative Republic. On May 29, by the western and eastern bureaus of Tashnagtsutyun (ARF: Armenian Revolutionary Federation) Hovhannes Khajaaznouni was appointed as the first Prime Minister of Armenia and Yerevan became its capital city. This Republic of Armenia was the first modern Armenian state since the fall of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia in 1375. Sadly, the newly 9
independent republic did not exist for long. In 1920, it was invaded by the Bolshevik Red Army and became a soviet republic. Simon Vratsian was the last Prime Minister. During the Soviet years the First Armenian Republic day was not celebrated. But in 1991 the Armenian SSR proclaimed its independence from USSR and the parliament declared May 28, the First Armenian Republic day, as a public holiday. ՍԱՐԴԱՐԱՊԱՏԻ ՀԵՐՈՍԱՄԱՐՏԸ Սարդարապատի հերոսամարտը տեղի ունեցաւ Սարդարապատ կայարանի շրջակայքը (Արմավիրի մարզ, Հայաստան), 1918 թ. Մայիսի 21-28-ին, հայկական կանոնաւոր զօրամասերու, աշխարհա-
զօրի եւ Արեւելեան Հայաստան ներխուժած թրքական զօրաբանակի միջեւ: Հայ ժողովուրդի արեւմտեան հատուածը բնաջնջելէ եւ Արեւմտեան Հայաստանը հայաթափ ընելէ յետոյ՝ թուրքերը ծրագրած էին վերացնել նաեւ արեւելահայութիւնը եւ Արեւելահայաստանը, ու գրաւել ամբողջ Անդրկովկասը: Ռուսիոյ մէջ Հոկտեմբերեան յեղաշրջումի հետեւանքով, Ռուսական բանակը իր զօրքերը դուրս քաշեց Արեւելահայաստանէն: Թրքական կառավարութիւնը չյապաղեց օգտուիլ այս առիթէն եւ 10
խախտելով Երզնկայի զինադադարը՝ 1918 թ. Փետրուար 10-ին անցաւ յարձակման: Մէկը միւսի ետեւէ կ'իյնային հայոց բերդաքաղաքները՝ Երզնկան, Էրզրումը, Սարիղամիշը, Կարսը: Մայիսի 15ին թուրքերը գրաւեցին Ալեքսանդրապոլը (Գիւմրի)՝ Մայիս 21-ին՝ Սարդարապատ գիւղը եւ կայարանը եւ կը պատրաստուէին առաջ երթալ դէպի Երեւան: Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոս Գէորգ Ե. Սուրէնեանցը կը մերժէ հեռանալ Էջմիածինէն եւ կը հրամայէ հնչեցնել եկեղեցիներու զանգերը եւ իր մերժումի խօսքը հաղորդել զօրքին ու ժողովրդին: Պայքարի կ'ելլէ ողջ հայ ժողովուրդը ու եկեղեցւոյ զանգերը անդադար ղօղանջով մարտի կը կանչեն բոլոր հայորդիները: Սարդարապատի պաշտպանութեան հրամանատարն էր Երեւանեան զօրախումբի հրամանատար Գեն. Մովսէս Սիլիկեանը, իսկ Սարդարապատի ջոկատի հրամանատարն էր Գնդապետ Դանիէլ Բէկ-Փիրումեան: Մայիս 27-ին հայկական հարուածային զօրախումբը եւ հայկական հիմնական ուժերը յարձակեցան թրքական բանակին վրայ: Կենաց մահու այս Ճակատամարտը վերջացաւ հայերու յաղթանակով: Ճակատամարտին մասնակցեցան հայ ժողովուրդի բոլոր խաւերու ներկայացուցիչները՝ գիւղացիներ, մտաւորականներ, հոգեւորականներ, արհեստաւորներ, ռուսական բանակի մէջ ծառայած հայազգի սպաներ, քաղ. բոլոր կուսակցութիւնները. մոռցուեցան բոլոր տարաձայնութիւնները: Ծանր կորուստներ կրելով՝ թրքական զօրաբանակի մնացորդները խուճապահար փախան Ալեքսանդրապոլ: 11
Սարդարապատի ճակատամարտի յաղթանակի շնորհիւ Արեւելեան Հայաստանի զգալի մասը փրկուեցաւ թրքական զաւթիչներէն, եւ 1918-ի Մայիս 28-ին հռչակուեցաւ Հայաստանի Առաջին Հանրապետութիւնը: 1968 թ. Սարդարապատի ճակատամարտի յաղթանակի 50-ամեակի առիթով, ճակատամարտի տեղը բացուեցաւ Սարդարապատի յուշահամալիրը: THE BATTLE OF SARDARABAD The Battle of Sardarabad was a battle of the Caucasus Campaign of World War I and took place near Sardarabad (modern-day Armavir Province, Armenia), in May 1918. After the October Revolution of 1917 in Russia, the Bolsheviks seized power and issued a decree that called for the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Caucasus Front. The Ottoman Empire used this situation to not only recapture Western Armenia, but also to occupy Eastern Armenia and the whole Transcaucasian region. Moving forward with their plans, on Feb. 10, 1918 Turkish troops attacked and recaptured Erznka, Karin, Sarigamish, Kars, on May 15 they captured Alexandropol and on May 21 advanced in the direction of Sardarabad. Responsibility for the implementation of Sardarad defence was entrusted to the General Movses Silikian, Sardarabad defense forces were lead by Colonel Daniel Beg-Piroumian. Faced with the horrifying possibly of completely losing our motherland to Turks, the whole Armenian nation participated in the battle: peasants, intellectuals, clergy, craftsmen, as well as Armenian officers serving in the Russian army, all the political parties. All the differences were forgotten. Catholicos Kevork V Soureniants refused to leave to safety and vowed to fight and die defending the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin. The bells of churches were ringing nonstop calling everyone to participate in the fight to defend their homeland. On May 27 the Armenian forces attacked the Turkish army from two fronts. They fought to death until the enemy was forced to retreat. The battle ended with the complete victory of the Armenians over the superior forces of the Turks. This victory was achieved thanks to the superb military skills of Armenian commanders, as well as heroic struggle of the Armenian regular army and the whole Armenian nation. 12
In 1968, in honour of 50th anniversary of victorious Battle of Sardarabad, a memorial park was laid out on the spot of the battlefield. Sardarabad Memorial is a symbol of pride and survival, that against all odds, the Genocide stricken Armenian nation in its united effort, defeated the Turkish troops and safeguarded the small portion of historic Armenia, what is now our homeland the Republic of Armenia. ՀԱՅ ՀՈԳԵՒՈՐԱԿԱՆ ԴԱՍԸ ՍԱՐԴԱՐԱՊԱՏԻ ՀԵՐՈՍԱՄԱՐՏԻ ՕՐՀԱՍԱԿԱՆ ՕՐԵՐՈՒՆ ԽԱՉԻ ՓՈԽԱՐԷՆ ԶԷՆՔ ԷՐ ԲՌՆԱԾ Ամենայն Հայոց Գէորգ Ե Սուրէնեանց (Տփղիսեցի) Կաթողիկոսին կ'առաջարկուի անվտանգութեան համար տեղափոխուիլ Սևանայ լճի շրջանը։ Կաթողիկոսը կը մերժէ ըսելով. «Ո՛չ եւ ո՛չ: Հազար անգամ ո՛չ: Ես չեմ լքեր մեր սուրբ նախնիներէն աւանդ մնացած Մայր Աթոռը: Եթէ հայ ժողովուրդը չկարողանայ կասեցնել թշնամին, ապա ես ինքս սուր կը վերցնեմ, բայց չեմ հեռանար Սուրբ աթոռէն: Իսկ եթէ եկած է վերջը, ապա այն ինչո՞ւ չընդունինք պատիւով ու քաջութեամբ, եւ ո՛չ թէ ողորմելի ստրուկի պէս ոսոխի առջեւ սողալով: Ուրեմն ինչո՞ւ ազգովին չբարձրանանք թշնամիին դէմ, որը ծարաւ է մեր վերջին արեան»:
Մենք՝ հայերս, մեր նախնիներով հպարտ ըլլալու բազմաթիւ պատճառներ ունինք: Ուրեմն եկէք այնպէս ապրինք մեր կեանքը, որ գալիք սերունդներն ալ իրենց նախնիներով հպարտանան.........

ԱՍՏՈՒԱԾՊԱՇՏՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՆՈԹՆԵՐ, ՍՊԱՍՔՆԵՐ, ԶԳԵՍՏՆԵՐ ԵՒ ԶԱՐԴԵՐ Աստուածապաշտութեան կարգը կատարելու համար աշխարհի բոլոր եկեղեցիներուն մէջ ալ եղած են եւ կան եկեղեցական անոթներ, սպասքներ, զգեստներ եւ զարդեր, տարբերելու համար սովորական, ամենօրեայ նիստուկացէն: Սուրբ Գիրքին մէջ կը հանդիպինք Աստուծոյ կողմէ տրուած զանազան պատուիրան-հրահանգներու` աստուածապաշտութեան տարբեր հարցերու վերաբերեալ (ԵԼՔ ԻԴ, ԻԵ, Ղեւտական եւ այլն): Քրիստոնէական բոլոր եկեղեցիներուն մէջ ալ կիրառուող ըսպասքներու, անօթներու, զգեստներու սկիզբը պէտք է փնտրել Սուրբ Գիրքին մէջ: Մեր եկեղեցւոյ մէջ օգտագործոււած զգեստները սկզբնապէս շատ հաւանական է, որ վերցուած են Կեսարիոյ եւ Երուսաղէմի եկեղեցիներէն: Յետագային անոնք փոփոխութեան ենթարկուած են յոյն եւ կաթոլիկ եկեղեցիներու ազդեցութեամբ` յատկապէս ԺԲ-ԺԳ դարերուն: Դարերու ընթացքին մեր եկեղեցւոյ մէջ կիրառուելով, ենթարկւած են որոշ փոփոխութիւններու` ձեւի եւ նիւթի կողմէ, իրենց վրայ կրելով ազգային կնիք, տեսք եւ հասկացողութիւն: Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Մայր Տաճարի թանգարանին եւ Գանձատան մէջ ցուցադրուած թանկագին զգեստները եւ սպասքները կը վկայեն, որ անոնք դարերու ընթացքին պահպանուած են շատ չնչին փոփոխութիւններով, տարբերելով մէկը միւսէն աշխատանքի եւ արուեստի նորանոր կատարումներով եւ շքեղութեամբ:
1) ՍԿԻՀ, ՄԱՂԶՄԱ Սկիհ Եկեղեցւոյ մէջ Ս.Պատարագի ժամանակ օգտագործուած այն բաժակն է, որուն մէջ գինին կը լեցնեն` նուիրագործելու համար: ՙԲաժակ ի պէտս խորհրդոյ պատարագիս՚,-կը գրէ Հայկազեան բառարանը: 14
Պատրաստուած կ՚ըլլայ պատուանդանով: Սկիհի բաժակնի վրայ պատկերուած կ՚ըլլան տէրունական պատկերներ` Խաչ, Քրիստոս, Յարութիւն, Աստուածամայրը Մանուկին հետ, կամ ալ չորս Աւետարանիչներ, երբեմն ալ պատրաստող արուեստագետը, ըստ իր ճաշակին եւ ընդունակութեան կը զարդարէ: Սկիհի մետաղը ցանկալի է, որ արծաթաջրուած կամ ոսկեջրուած ըլլայ: Եթէ նոյնիսկ պատուանդանը հասարակ մետաղէ է, ապա բաժակը անպայման արծաթէ պէտք է ըլլայ եւ գոնէ ներսի կողմը ոսկեջրուած: Սկիհը կը խորհրդանշէ Փրկիչի չարչարանքներու բաժակը: Ինչպէս նաեւ այն բաժակը, որմով Յիսուս օրհնելով գինին, վերջին ընթրիքի ժամանակ, տուաւ առաքեալներուն հաղորդուելու` ըսելով. ՙԽմեցէ՜ք ասկէ բոլորդ, որովհետեւ այս է Նոր Ուխտի Իմ արիւնս, որ շատերու համար կը թափուի ` իրենց մեղքերուն քաւութեան համար՚ (Մատթէոս ԻԶ:28, Մարկոս ԺԴ:24, Ղուկաս ԻԲ:20, Ա Կորնթացիս ԺԱ:25):
Մաղզմա-Սկիհի խուփ Այն փոքր կլոր աման է, փոքր ինչ խորհութեամբ, որպէսզի սկիհը ծածկելէ ետք չսահի եւ չիյնայ, որուն վրայ նշխարը՝ բաղարջ հացը` Փրկիչին Մարմինը կը դնեն: ՙԱռէ՜ք, կերէ՜ք, այս է Իմ Մարմինս՚ (Մտթ ԻԶ:26, Մրկ ԺԴ:22, Ղուկ ԻԲ:19, Ա Կորնթ. Էջմիածնի հովանիին տակ գործող Ընկերային Ծառայութեան Կեդրոնի Բարեգործական Ճաշարաններուն: Մնացած գումարը՝ $1,925 CAD, փոխանցուեցաւ Ս. Dear friends and donors, We are happy to inform you that your generous contributions and support to our fundraising on the occasion of our dear Pastor, Fr. Zareh Zargarian’s birthday, turned out to be an absolute success! Together we exceeded our goal of raising $5,000 CAD in support of Soup Kitchens in Armenia and Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto. The total raised through our Facebook fundraiser and from direct donations was $7,325. Considering the greater challenges in Armenia caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Fr. Zareh and the Parish Council decided to send the majority of these funds, $5,400 CAD, in support of five Soup Kitchens operating under the Centre of the Social Services of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The remaining $1,925 CAD was transferred to the Holy Trinity Armenian Church in support of the much needed operational costs. With this letter we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who graciously participated in this fundraising with their moral and financial support. Together we are stronger!
