ՊՕՂՈՍ ԱՌԱՔԵԱԼԻ ԿՈՂՄԷ ՏԻՄՈԹԷՈՍԻՆ ՈՒՂՂՈՒԱԾ ԵՐԿՐՈՐԴ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 3.1-12 Գիտցի՛ր թէ վերջին օրերը դաժան ժամանակներ պիտի գան. որովհետեւ մարդիկ պիտի ըլլան անձնասէր, արծաթասէր, պոռոտախօս, ամբարտաւան, հայհոյիչ, ծնողներու անհնազանդ, ապերախտ, անսուրբ, անգութ, անհաշտ, չարախօս, անժուժկալ, դաժանաբարոյ, բարին չսիրող, մատնիչ, յանդուգն, հպարտ, աւելի հաճոյասէր քան աստուածասէր: Անոնք ունին բարեպաշտութեան դրսերեւոյթը, բայց ուրացած են անոր զօրութիւնը: Դուն հեռացի՛ր անոնցմէ. որովհետեւ ասոնցմէ՛ են անոնք՝ որ կը մտնեն տուներէն ներս, եւ կը գերեվարեն մեղքով բեռնաւորուած տկարամիտ կիները՝ զանազան ցանկութիւններէ դրդուած, որոնք միշտ կը սորվին բայց բնաւ չեն կրնար հասնիլ ճշմարտութեան գիտակցութեան: Հապա, ինչպէս Յանէս ու Յամրէս ընդդիմացան Մովսէսի, նոյնպէս ասոնք ալ կ՚ընդդիմանան ճշմարտութեան: Միտքով ապականած մարդիկ, որ խոտելի են հաւատքի մէջ. բայց աւելի պիտի չյառաջդիմեն, որովհետեւ իրենց անմտութիւնը բացայայտ պիտի ըլլայ բոլորին, ինչպէս եղաւ անոնց երկուքինը: Իսկ դուն հետեւեցար իմ վարդապետութեանս, ապրելակերպիս, առաջադրութեանս, հաւատքիս, համբերատարութեանըս, սիրոյս, համբերութեանս, հալածանքներուս եւ չարչարանքներուս, որոնք պատահեցան ինծի Անտիոքի, Իկոնիոնի ու Լիւստրայի մէջ: Ի՜նչ հալածանքներ կրեցի. բայց Տէրը ազատեց զիս բոլորէն: Եւ բոլոր անոնք՝ որ կ՚ուզեն բարեպաշտութեամբ ապրիլ Քրիստոս Յիսուսով, պիտի հալածուին:

ՅՈՎՀԱՆՆԷՍԻ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 6.22-32 Հետեւեալ օրը՝ բազմութիւնը, որ ծովուն միւս եզերքն էր, տեսաւ թէ ուրիշ նաւակ չկար այն մէկէն զատ՝ որուն մէջ անոր աշակերտները մտած էին, եւ թէ Յիսուս իր աշակերտներուն հետ մտած չէր նաւակը, այլ անոր աշակերտները առանձին գացեր էին (բայց Տիբերիայէն ուրիշ նաւակներ եկան այն տեղին մօտ, ուր կերեր էին հացը՝ Տէրոջ շնորհակալ ըլլալէն ետք): Ուրեմն բազմութիւնը՝ տեսնելով թէ ո՛չ Յիսուս հոն է, ո՛չ ալ անոր աշակերտները, իրե՛նք ալ նաւ մտան եւ գացին Կափառնայում՝ փնտռելու Յիսուսը: Երբ գտան զինք՝ ծովուն միւս եզերքը, ըսին իրեն. «Ռաբբի՛, ե՞րբ եկար հոս»: Յիսուս պատասխանեց անոնց. «Ճշմա՛րտապէս, ճշմա՛րտապէս կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Դուք զիս կը փնտռէք՝ ո՛չ թէ քանի որ նշաններ տեսաք, հապա՝ որովհետեւ նկանակներէն կերաք ու կշտացաք”: Գացէ՛ք, գործեցէ՛ք ո՛չ թէ կորստական կերակուրին համար, հապա այն կերակուրին համար՝ որ կը մնայ յաւիտենական կեանքին մէջ, եւ մարդու Որդի՛ն պիտի տայ ձեզի, որովհետեւ Հայրը՝ Աստուած զի՛նք կնքեց»: Ուրեմն ըսին իրեն. «Ի՞նչ ընենք՝ որպէսզի կատարենք Աստուծոյ գործերը»: Յիսուս պատասխանեց անոնց. «Սա՛ է Աստուծոյ գործը, որ հաւատաք անոր ղրկածին»: Ուստի ըսին իրեն. «Բայց դուն ի՞նչ նշան կ՚ընես, որ տեսնենք ու հաւատանք քեզի. ի՞նչ կը գործես: Մեր հայրերը անապատին մէջ մանանա՛ն կերան, ինչպէս գրուած է. “Երկինքէն հաց տուաւ անոնց՝ որպէսզի ուտեն”»: Իսկ Յիսուս ըսաւ անոնց. «Ճշմա՛րտապէս, ճշմա՛րտապէս կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Մովսէս չտուաւ ձեզի երկնային հացը, բայց իմ Հա՛յրս կու տայ ձեզի ճշմարիտ երկնային հացը”.

TMOTHY 2 3.1-12 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone. You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. JOHN 6.22-32 The next day the crowd that had stayed on the opposite shore of the lake realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not entered it with his disciples, but that they had gone away alone. Then some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. Once the crowd 5
realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus. When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’ Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. Մարդ մը պէտք չէ վհատուի՝ տկար եմ ըսելով, որովհետեւ երբեմն հաստատուն ծառերը կը խորտակին ու արմատախիլ կ'ըլլան, մինչդեռ դիւրաբէկ եղեգները փոթորիկի դիմաց հաստատուն կը մնան:
(Ղեւոնդ Ալիշան) One should not be discoureged by assuming they are weak, because, sometimes, strong and study trees are uprooted and fall during the storm, but the brittle reed survive.

ՇԱԲԹՈՒԱՆ ՏՕՆԵՐԸ - FEASTS OF THE WEEK ՏՕՆ ՍՐԲՈՅ ՍԱՀԱԿ ՊԱՐԹԵՒ ՀԱՅՐԱՊԵՏԻՆ ՄԵՐՈՅ Ս. Սահակ Պարթեւ հայրապետին տօնը մեր եկեղեցւոյ մէջ կը կատարուի Բուն Բարեկենդանէն ութը օր առաջ, Յունւարի վերջը կամ Փետըրւար ամսուան մէջ ՝ այս տարի Փետրուար 6-ին։ Ս. Սահակ Պարթեւ ծնած է Կեսարիա 348-ին: Որդին էր Ներսէս Մեծ կաթողիկոսի ու Սահակադուխտ Մամիկոնեանի եւ Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորիչի տոհմին վերջին ներկայացուցիչը: Վաղ հասակէն կը զրկուի մօրմէն եւ կը բերուի Հայաստան, ուր կը վայելէ՝ մօր ազգականներու՝ Մամիկոնեան ընտանիքի խնամքն ու դաստիարակութիւնը՝ Տարօն գաւառին մէջ։ Հայաստանի մէջ Սահակ իր ուսումը կը ստանայ կաթողիկոսարանի դպրեվանքին մէջ, ուր կը սորվի յունարէն, ասորերէն ու պարսկերէն։ Այնուհետեւ, իր հայրը՝ Ներսէս, զինք կը տանի, Կեսարիա, ուր կը հմտանայ յունարէն լեզուին, հռետորական, ատենաբանութեան, երաժշտական, լեզուագիտական, կրօնական եւ իմաստասիրական գիտութեանց մէջ: Սահակ կ'ամուսնանայ եւ կ'ունենայ աղջիկ զաւակ մը, Սահականոյշ անունով, որ յետագային ամուսնանալով հայոց բանակի սպարապետ՝ Մանուէլ Մամիկոնեանի որդիին՝ Համազասպի հետ կը դառնայ մայրը Քաջն Վարդան Մամիկոնեանի։ Խոսրով Գ. թագաւորը 387 թուին Սահակ 7
Պարթեւը կաթողիկոս կը կարգէ: Իր 52-ամեայ (387-439) հայրապետական գործունէութեան ընթացքին Վռամշապուհ արքայի հովանաւորութեամբ եւ Մեսրոպ Մաշտոցին հետ կը լծուի Հայոց Եկեղեցւոյ եւ գրականութեան պայծառացման: Այսպէսով հինգերորդ դարը կը դառնայ հայոց գրականութեան Ոսկեդարը: Հայկական գիրերու ստեղծումէն ետք հայերէնի կը թարգմանէ Ս. Գիրքը, որ կը համարուի Աստուածաշունչի թարգմանութիւններու թագուհին: Վախճանած է 439 թ. ու թաղուած է Տարօն գաւառի Աշտիշատ գիւղը: Մովսէս Խորէնացին Ս. Սահակի մասին գրած է. «ՄԱՀԿԱՆԱՑՈՒ ԾՆԵԱԼ, ԱՆՄԱՀ ԶԻՒՐՆ ՅԻՇԱՏԱԿ ԵԹՈՂ» (Ան մահկանացու ծնելով՝ անմահ թողուց իր յիշատակը) ։ ST. SAHAG BARTEV St. Sahag Bartev was born in 348, and was the son of Nerses the Great (353-373) and was the last descendant of St. Gregory the Illuminator. He lost his mother at an early age and was raised under the care of his maternal relatives of Mamigonian family in the province of Daron. St. Sahag was educated in schools in Caesarea, Alexandria, and Constantinople. He knew Greek, Syriac, and Persian. He was the Catholicos of all Armenians from 387439, and, together with King Vramshabouh, played a fundamental role, in supporting the work of St. Mesrob Mashdots, as well as to the creation of the Golden Age of Armenian literature in the 5th century. St. Sahag worked to arrange and organize the Armenian calendar of religious festivities, composed various liturgical hymns and prayers, and played a significant role in the translation of the Bible, which was completed in 435.Sahag Bartev passed away in 439, in the village of Pelrots, in the province of Pagrevant, and was buried in the village of Ashtishat, in the region of Daron. 8

On Sunday, January 31, 2021, towards the end of Divine Liturgy, and during a special blessing prayer, a candle will be blessed for each person carrying any of the above mentioned names. Hence we invite all those who are named Sarkis, Sako, Serge, Mardiros, Mardo and Mardig, as well as Sarkissian, Mardirossian, Mardigian, to follow the live-streamed Divine Liturgy and the Blessing Prayer on Facebook.
