Անունըդ անգամ քո մեծութիւնն ու գթութիւնը եւ քո մտերմութիւնն է աւետարանում, Քաղցր ես դժնիների եւ անգոհների համար. Քեզ հետ Որդիդ էլ նման է միշտ քեզ, ձեռքիդ պէս նրա ձեռքն էլ զօրեղ, Անժամանակ տէրութեամբ ահեղ` քո արարչութեամբ ինքն էլ բարձրացած: Նաեւ սուրբ Հոգին քո ճշմարտութեան` բխելով քեզնից անսպառօրէն, Իբր աստուածային կատարեալ իսկութիւն եւ էութիւն մշտնջենական, Ըստ ամենայնի հաւասար է քեզ եւ իշխանութեամբ` փառակից Որդուդ: Երրեակ անձնաւորութիւն` համակ անքնին, 2
Յատուկ առանձնացումով տրոհուած անձեր, Բայց միաւորուած համազուգութեամբ, Նոյնագոյ բնութեամբ տիրապէս, անշփոթ եւ անանջրպետ Միեւնոյն կամքով եւ գործակցութեամբ, Ոչ մէկը միւսից աւագագոյն չէ, Եւ ոչ էլ մի ակնթարթ նոյնիսկ մէկ-միւսից նուազ երբեւիցէ, Այլ իբրեւ պատճառ երկնային սիրոյ անստուեր լոյսի, յայտնուած մեր մէջ, Սրբասացութեան միակ պսակով` անսկզբնաբար աստուածաբանուած: Բ Քանզի արդարեւ բարձրաձայն այս խոստովանութիւնը երեք փառատրեան այդ դաւանութեան` Պետրոսին հաւատքի վէմ կոչուելու երանութեան արժանացրեց Դատապարտեալիս մեղաւոր հոգին բարեհրաման քո ակնարկութեամբ, Ո՜վ դու, որ փնտրում ես գերեալիս, հրաշանորոգ թո՛ղ արդարացնե: Զի քոնն են թէեւ պարգեւներն ու ողորմութիւնները, Բայց դու ո՛չ այնքան քո պարգեւներով, որքան ողորմութեամբ ես հռչակուած. Քանզի երկրորդը քո փառքն է աւելացնում, Իսկ առաջինն առաքինական գործի է յայտարար. Զի պարգեւները փոխարինութիւն են ծառայութեան դիմաց, Իսկ ողորմութիւնը` բարերարութիւն մեղաւորիս: Գ Եւ արդ, մարդկային գործերը թող որ չգերազանցե՜ն իրենց զօրութեամբ քո շնորհներին, գթառա՜տ Աստուած, Եթէ մինչեւ իսկ անցաւոր բնութեան օրէնքներից էլ վեր լինեն նրանք. Այլ յաղթող հանդիսանալով քո երկայնամտութիւնը, Երկրածինների ընթացքը երբէք չհաւասարուի՜ թող քո գործերին: Քանզի եւ նրանք, որ օրէնքների մաքրութեամբ իրենց պարծենում էին, 3
Քո արդարութեան լոյսը երբ ծագեց,Որ նոր օրէնքի ճշմարտութիւնն էր ծանուցանում,Հրեաներն հետին անձկութեամբ լքուած ու նուաստացած, Աւելի քան տարագիրներն ողորմելի` մարդասիրութեանդ կարօտ եղան: Եւ քանզի ամենայն ինչ հնարաւոր է քեզ, բարերա՛ր, Լսի՛ր ողբաձայն պաղատանքներս, որ ուղղում եմ քեզ. Ողորմիր, փրկիր եւ մարդասիրիր, զի երկայնամիտ ես դու, Եւ քոնն են քաղցրութիւն, փրկութիւն եւ քաւութիւն եւ փառք Բոլոր հաւիտեան ապրող ազգերից. ամէն: ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Բարերար եւ բազումողորմ Աստուած, Քու անմոռանալի գիտութիւնովդ եւ անհուն մարդասիրութիւնովդ յիշէ բոլոր Քեզի հաւատացողները եւ ողորմէ բոլորին: Օգնէ եւ փրկէ ամէն տեսակ վտանգներէ եւ փորձութիւններէ: Արժանի ըրէ գոհութեամբ փառաւորելու Հայրը, Որդին եւ Սուրբ Հոգին, այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն: ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆ ԸՍՏ ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍԻ 8: 23- 27 Երբ նաւ մտաւ, իր աշակերտները հետեւեցան իրեն: 24Եւ ահա՛ մեծ ալեկոծութիւն մը եղաւ ծովուն մէջ, ա՛յնքան՝ որ նաւը կը ծածկուէր ալիքներէն. իսկ ինք կը քնանար: 25Աշակերտները գացին իր մօտ, արթնցուցին զինք եւ ըսին. «Տէ՛ր, փրկէ՛ մեզ, ահա՛ կը կորսուինք»: 26Ինք ալ ըսաւ անոնց. «Թերահաւատնե՛ր, ինչո՞ւ այդպէս երկչոտ էք»: Այն ատեն ոտքի ելաւ, սաստեց հովերն ու ծովը, եւ մեծ խաղաղութիւն եղաւ: 27Մարդիկ զարմացան, ու կ՚ըսէին իրարու. «Ինչպիսի՜ մարդ է ասիկա, որ նոյնիսկ հովերը եւ ծովը կը հնազանդին իրեն»:

ԲԺՇԿՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Փարատէ՛ ցաւերը եւ բժշկէ՛ հիւանդութիւնները քու ժողովուրդէդ, Տէր Աստուած մեր եւ բոլորին կատարեալ առողջութի՛ւն շնորհէ` Քու ամենայաղթ խաչիդ նշանով, որուն միջոցով մարդկութեան տկարութիւնը վերցուցիր եւ դատապարտեցիր մեր կեանքի եւ փրկութեան թշնամին: Դուն ես մեր կեանքն ու փրկութիւնը, բարերար եւ բազումողորմ Աստուած. միայն Դո՛ւն կրնաս ներել մեր մեղքերը եւ մեզմէ հեռացնել ախտերն ու հիւանդութիւնները. Քեզի յայտնի են մեր կարիքները: Բարիքներ պարգեւող, առատ ողորմութիւնդ պարգեւէ՛ քու արարածներուդ՝ իւրաքանչիւրին ըստ իր պէտքին, որովհետեւ արարածներուդ միջոցով միշտ կը գովաբանուի Ամենասուրբ Երրորդութիւնդ. Այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն: ՊԱՀՊԱՆՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Պահպանիչ եւ հաւատացեալներու յոյս, Քրիստոս Աստուած մեր, պահէ պահպանէ եւ օրհնէ Հայոց ազգը եւ Հայաստանեայց Եկեղեցին. LORD’S PRAYER Blessed be our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. READING: FROM MADYAN VOGHPERKOUTYAN (NAREG) Prayer 13 Speaking with God from the Depths of the Heart A Beneficent, almighty, awe-inspiring God, good Father, charitable donor of mercy, whose very name heralds the good news of your grandeur, compassion and fatherly affection, you are gentle even toward the bitter and discontented. With you also is your Son, who is like you, whose hand is strong like yours, whose awesome reign is eternal like yours, whose exaltation is shared with you in your creation. So too the Holy Spirit of your truth, that flows from you without end, the perfect essence of existence and eternal being, is equal to you in all things, reigning with the Son in equal glory. Three persons, one mystery, separate faces, unique and distinct, 7
made one by their congruence and being of the same holy substance and nature, unconfused and undivided, one in will and one in action. One is not greater, one is not lesser, not even by an eyelash, and because of the unobscurable light of heavenly love revealed in our midst both have been glorified with a single crown of holiness from before the ages. B For verily, as Peter’s open profession of faith in the Trinity earned for him the blessed name, Rock, so in expectation of your clemency, do I, a sinner condemned, await exoneration, O deliverer of captives. And though all rewards may be yours, so too is all mercy, but you are not so acclaimed for rewards as for mercy, for while the first brings glory, the second merely recognizes the effort of labor, since rewards are compensation for merit, but mercy is an act of generosity toward the unworthy. C And now, God of compassion, may human deeds not prevail over your grace, even if they transgress the laws of nature, but rather may your forbearance triumph so that your ways may never be less than those of mortals. For when your light came to herald the new covenant, those, like the Jews who prided themselves in keeping the law, were abandoned to greater heartache and became more needy of your charity, than those wretched persons, 8
forever lost in the wilderness. Since everything is possible for you, O benevolent God, hear my sighs of supplication to you. Have mercy, save us, and be generous. For yours is forbearance, gentleness, salvation, atonement and glory for all time, to all peoples. Amen. PRAYER Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy O beneficent and merciful God, with Your un- forgetting knowledge and infinite love of man, remember all Your faithful and have mercy upon all. Help them and save them from every danger and temptation. Make them worthy to glorify the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and always and unto the ages of ages. Amen. GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MATTHEW: 8: 23- 27 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” PRAYER FOR THE SICK Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy Dispel the pain and heal the sickness of thy people, Lord our God and grant to all perfect health by the sign of thine all-conquering cross through which thou removed the weakness of mankind and condemned the enemy of our life and salvation. Thou art our life and salvation, beneficent and all merciful God, who alone can forgive us our sins and 9
remove diseases and sickness from us, to whom are known our needs and necessities. Bestower of gifts, grant thy bounteous mercy to thy creatures according to their individual needs, through whom thy Holy Trinity is always glorified and praised, now and always and forever and ever. Amen. PRAYER OF PRESERVATION Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy Guardian and hope of the faithful Christ our God, guard, protect and bless Armenian Nation and Armenian Church, under the shadow of Thine holy and precious Cross in peace. Deliver from enemies visible and invisible. Make us worthy to give thanks to Thee and to glorify Thee with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and forever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
