ՊՕՂՈՍ ԱՌԱՔԵԱԼԻ ՀՌՈՄԷԱՅԵՑԻՆԵՐՈՒՆ ԳՐԱԾ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 6.12-23 Ուրեմն ա՛լ մեղքը թող չթագաւորէ ձեր մահկանացու մարմինին վրայ, որ հնազանդիք անոր ցանկութիւններուն. ու ձեր մարմինին անդամները մի՛ յանձնէք մեղքին՝ անիրաւութեան գործիք ըլլալու: Հապա դուք ձեզ ընծայեցէ՛ք Աստուծոյ՝ որպէս մեռելներէն վերապրողներ, եւ ձեր անդամները ընծայեցէ՛ք Աստուծոյ՝ իբր արդարութեան գործիքներ: Արդարեւ մեղքը պիտի չիշխէ ձեր վրայ. որովհետեւ ո՛չ թէ Օրէնքի տակ էք, հապա՝ շնորհքի տակ: Ուրեմն ի՞նչ. մեղանչե՞նք, քանի որ Օրէնքի տակ չենք, հապա՝ շնորհքի տակ: Ամե՛նեւին: Չէ՞ք գիտեր թէ որո՛ւն որ դուք ձեզ իբր ստրուկ յանձնէք՝ հնազանդելու համար, ստրուկ կ՚ըլլաք անոր՝ որուն կը հնազանդիք, թէ՛ մեղքին՝ որ կ՚առաջնորդէ մահուան, եւ թէ հնազանդութեան՝ որ կ՚առաջնորդէ արդարութեան: Բայց շնորհակալութի՛ւն Աստուծոյ, որ մեղքին ստրուկ ըլլալէ ետք՝ սրտանց հնազանդեցաք այն ուսուցումի տիպարին՝ որ աւանդուեցաւ ձեզի: Ուստի դուք՝ ազատած ըլլալով մեղքէն՝ ստրուկ եղաք արդարութեա՛ն. (մարդկային կերպով կը խօսիմ՝ ձեր մարմինին տկարութեան պատճառով.) քանի որ ինչպէս յանձնեցիք ձեր անդամները անօրէնութեան՝ ստրուկ ըլլալու անմաքրութեան եւ անօրէնութեան, այնպէս ալ հիմա ընծայեցէ՛ք ձեր անդամները սրբութեան՝ ստրուկ ըլլալու արդարութեան: Որովհետեւ երբ դուք ստրուկ էիք մեղքին՝ ազատ էիք արդարութենէն: Ուրեմն այն ատեն ի՞նչ պտուղ ունէիք այն բաներէն՝ որոնց համար հիմա կ՚ամչնաք. որովհետեւ անոնց վախճանը մահ է: Իսկ հիմա, մեղքէն ազատած եւ Աստուծոյ ստրուկ եղած ըլլալով, ձեր պտուղը ունիք՝ սրբութեամբ, ու վախճանը՝ յաւիտենական կեանքը: Որովհետեւ մեղքին վարձատրութիւնը մահ է, բայց Աստուծոյ շնորհը՝ յաւիտենական կեանք է, Յիսուս Քրիստոսի՝ մեր Տէրոջ միջոցով:

ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍԻ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 12.1-8 Այդ ատեն Յիսուս՝ Շաբաթ օր մը՝ գնաց արտերու մէջէն. իր աշակերտները՝ անօթենալով՝ սկսան ցորենի հասկեր փրցնել եւ ուտել: Երբ Փարիսեցիները տեսան՝ ըսին անոր. «Ահա՛ քու աշակերտներդ կը գործեն, մինչդեռ արտօնուած չէ գործել Շաբաթ օրը»: Ան ալ ըսաւ անոնց. «Չէ՞ք կարդացեր Դաւիթի ըրածը, երբ ինք եւ իրեն հետ եղողները անօթեցան. մտաւ Աստուծոյ տունը, ու կերաւ առաջադրութեան հացերը, որ ո՛չ իրեն արտօնուած էր ուտել, ո՛չ ալ իրեն հետ եղողներուն, բայց միայն քահանաներուն: Կամ թէ Օրէնքին մէջ չէ՞ք կարդացեր թէ քահանաները կը սրբապղծեն Շաբաթը տաճարին մէջ՝ Շաբաթ օրերը, եւ անպարտ են: Բայց կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի թէ այստեղ տաճարէ՛ն աւելի մեծ մէկը կայ: Եթէ գիտնայիք թէ ի՛նչ ըսել է. “Կարեկցութի՛ւն կ՚ուզեմ, ու ո՛չ թէ զոհ”, այն ատեն չէիք դատապարտեր անպարտները. որովհետեւ մարդու Որդին տէրն է Շաբաթին»:
ROMANS 6:12-23 Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! 16Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. 19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you 4
were free from the control of righteousness. 21What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in b Christ Jesus our Lord.
MATTHEW. 12:1-8 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. 2 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, “Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.” 3 He answered, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? 4 He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread - which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. 5 Or haven’t you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent? 6 I tell you that something greater than the temple is here. 7 If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ a you would not have condemned the innocent. 8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” Յիսուս պատասխանեց անոր. «Ո՛վ որ խմէ այս ջուրէն՝ դարձեալ պիտի ծարաւնայ, բայց ո՛վ որ խմէ այն ջուրէն՝ որ ես պիտի տամ անոր, յաւիտեան պիտի չծարաւնայ: Հապա այն ջուրը՝ որ ես պիտի տամ անոր, պիտի ըլլայ անոր մէջ ջուրի աղբիւր մը՝ որ կը բխի յաւիտենական կեանքի համար»:

ԲԱՐԵԿԵՆԴԱՆ Ս. ԳՐԻԳՈՐ ԼՈՒՍԱՒՈՐՉԻ ՊԱՀՔԻ Այս Կիրակի՝ Յունիս 21, Բարեկենդան է Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորչի Պահքի: Բարեկենդանը պահքին նախորդող Կիրակին է: Այս պահքը նուիրուած է Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորչի մասունքներու գիւտին, որու տօնը այս տարի Յունիս 27-ին է: Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորչի մասունքները կը համարուին բոլոր քրիստոնէական եկեղեցիներու ամենամեծ սրբութիւններէն մէկը: Տօնի առիթով եկեղեցին հաստատած է շաբաթապահք՝ Երկուշաբթիէն մինչեւ Ուրբաթ օրերը (այս տարի Յունիս 22-26): Այս շաբաթապահքի ընթացքին արտօնուած է տօներ ըլլան: EVE OF THE FAST OF ST. GREGORY THE ILLUMINATOR This Sunday, June 21, is the Eve of The Fast of St. Gregory the Illuminator. This fast starts from Monday to Friday (June 22-26)and is dedicated to the Feast of Discovery of the Relics of St. Gregory the Illuminator (this year June 27). During this fast feast days are permitted. The relics of St. Gregory the Illuminator are one of the most significant relics of all Christian churches. ՏՕՆ ԳԻՒՏԻ ՆՇԽԱՐԱՑ ՍԲ. ԳՐԻԳՈՐ ԼՈՒՍԱՒՈՐՉԻ Սբ. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորչի նշխարներու գիւտը հայոց մեծագոյն սուրբի յիշատակին նուիրուած երեք տօներէն («Լուսաւորիչի մուտն ի վիրապ», «Լուսաւորիչի ելն ի վիրապ» եւ «Գիւտ նշխարաց Սրբոյ Գրիգոր Լուսաւորիչի») մէկն է, որ այս տարի կը տօնուի Շաբաթ, Յունիս 27-ին: Աւանդութեան համաձայն, հայոց մեծ դարձէն յետոյ Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորիչն իր կեանքի վերջին տարիները աւարտեց ճգնակեցութեամբ՝ Սեպուհ լերան Մանէի քարայրին մէջ, ուրտեղ ալ վախճանեցաւ 326 թ.: Անոր մարմինը գտնուեցաւ հովիւներու կողմէ, որոնք, չճանչնալով մահացեալ կաթողիկոսին, անոր մարմինը կը ծածկեն քարակոյտի տակ: Հետագային Սբ. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորիչը տեսիլքով կը յայտնէ իր նշխարներու տեղը իր ճգնաւոր Գառնիկ 6
Բասենցիին, որմէ ետք Հայրապետի նշխարները կը տեղափոխուին եւ կ’ամփոփուին Դարանաղի գաւառի Թորդան գիւղին մէջ, որ արքունական շնորհմամբ Լուսաւորիչին կը պատկանէր: Սբ Գրիգոր Լուսաւորչի նշխարները բոլոր քրիստոնէական եկեղեցիներու մեծագոյն սրբութիւններէն են։ Հայոց Հայրապետի նշխարները գտնուելէն յետոյ անոնցմէ մէկ մասը իբրեւ սրբազան մասունք տարուած է Վաղարշապատ, Բիւզանդիա, Իտալիա: Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի մէջ պահուող Լուսաւորչի Սբ. Աջը Հայ Եկեղեցւոյ կարեւորագոյն սրբութիւնն է, որով սուրբ Խաչափայտի և սուրբ Գեղարդի հետ միասին կ'օրհնուի սրբազան միւռոնը։ Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի Լոյս Նշխարներէն մասունք մըն ալ ամփոփուած է Երևանի Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ Մայր եկեղեցիի գաւիթին մէջ: Սբ. Գրիգոր Լուսաւորիչի նշխարներու գիւտի տօնը կը նշուի Հոգեգալուստի չորրորդ Շաբաթ օրը։ Տօնի առիթով Հայ եկեղեցին սահմանած է շաբաթապահք։ FEAST OF DISCOVERY OF THE RELICS OF ST. GREGORY THE ILLUMINATOR On June 27th, the Armenian Church commemorates one of the three feast days dedicated to St. Gregory the Illuminator: the discovery of his relics. His principle feast by all Christians is celebrated on September 30th.

St. Gregory is considered to be the “Apostle of Armenia.” After years of evangelizing, St. Gregory sought solitude and an ascetic life. He chose a cave on Mount Sebouh as his dwelling place. It was here that Gregory died alone around 328 AD, some say after seven years of solitude. Shepherds found his body and without realizing who he was buried him under a pile of stones. Later a hermit, Garnik of Basen, who had been a disciple of St. Gregory, saw a vision and went to Mount Sebouh where he found the site of Gregory’s burial. He took the remains to the village of Thortan for burial, where King Drtad was buried. The discovery by Garnik is placed in the reign of Emperor Zeno (474-491), though this is contested by some scholars. The relics of St. Gregory the Illuminator are one of our most revered within the Armenian Church, as well as all Christian Churches. Following their discovery, some were taken to various places for safekeeping, among them Vagharshapat (Etchmiadzin), Byzantium, and Italy. The Right Hand of the Saint, preserved in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, is one of the most important sanctities of the Armenian Church, and is used by the Catholicos of All Armenians during the blessing of the Holy Chrism (Muron). To commemorate the day, Divine Liturgy is celebrated in our Churches.

6) ՔՇՈՑ Քշոցը արծաթեայ, կլոր ձեւ ունեցող ճոճանակ մըն է, որուն վրայ երկու կողմերէն պատկերուած են, կենդրոնին` մեծ վեցթեւեան Սերովբէներ, ծայրերուն` հրեշտակներ, շուրջը զարդարուած 12 բոժոժներով: Քշոցը ամրացուած է կլոր, երկար (1.5 - 2 մ.) ձողի վրայ, որ դպիրները իրենց ձեռքին կ՚ունենան յատկապէս Ս. Պատարագի կատարման ժամանակ, որպէս Սերովբէներու եւ Քերովբէներու հովանաւորութիւն Ընծայի վրայ: Հին ատեն, քշոց անւանումը, օգտագործուած է նաեւ ինչ որ բանի (ճանճ, միջատ) քշելու իրի համար: Այսօր քշոցը դադարած է իր նախկին նպատակէն եւ կը յիշուի որպէս ուրախութեան նուագարան: Քշոցը կը գործածուի յատկապէս Ս. Պատարագին. 1) Թափոր ժամանակ. 2) Աւետարանը եւ Ս. Խորհուրդը վերաբերելու ժամանակ. 3) Ս. Աստուած, Հոգի Աստուծոյ, Հայր մեր, Միայն Սուրբ երգելու ժամանակ եւ այլն: Քշոցը կը գործածուի ինչպէս նաեւ եկեղեցական տարբեր արարողութիւններու եւ հանդէսներու ժամանակ:

OUR CHURCH HAS REOPENED Dear faithful, It is with a heart full of spiritual happiness we announce that based on the decision of Mr. Doug Ford, Ontario Premier, and the blessings of H.E. Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Canada, Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church reopened its doors to the faithful on Sunday, June 14, 2020. The church will be open for prayers and visits every: Sunday for Divine Liturgy, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page. Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, prayers for the recovery of those who are ill. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page. Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, during the church office hours, for private prayers and lighting of candles. ATTENTION We would like to draw your attention to the following important points: According to the decision made by the Provincial authorities, we will be able to admit only a limited number of faithful, in order to be able to apply all security measures: keeping 6 feet apart. Families living in the same household will be allowed to sit together; however, each person will be counted separately in the headcount. No handshakes and hugs, please. All those who visit the church must wear a face mask. Please bring your own to help ensure supplies last. A designated person will record the names of the visitors and escort them to their assigned seat.

The collection tray will not be passed but rather placed in the Church lobby, where people can make their offering on their way out. All those in high risk groups are strongly urged to stay home. You cannot enter the Church if any of the following applies to you: 1. a family member or anybody in your immediate surrounding has any of the symptoms listed below or has tested positive for Covid-19; 2. have fever; 3. have a cough; 4. have a sore throat; 5. have loss of taste or smell; 6. traveled outside the province of Ontario APPRECIATION We extend our thanks to the deacons and the members of the church choir, who voluntarily participated in the ceremonies during these difficult times and to you, dear faithful, for your patience, prayers and your donations to support the mission of our Church. Let us continue to remember in our prayers all those who have been affected by the pandemic and all those who continue to offer their services in these difficult times. ՈՒՇԱԴՐՈՒԹԻՒՆ Ձեր ուշադրութիւնը կ'ուզենք հրաւիրել հետեւեալ կարեւոր կէտերուն. Նահանգային կառավարութեան առած որոշումին համաձայն, առայժմ մենք արարողութիւններուն պիտի կարենանք սահմանափակ թիւով հաւատացեալներ ընդունիլ, ապահովութեան բոլոր միջոցները կիրառելու համար, 6 ոտք հեռաւորութիւն պահելով։ Ընտանիքներ, որոնք նոյն յարկին տակ կը բնակին, կրնան միասին նստիլ, բայց իւրաքանչիւր անձ իբրեւ առանձին թիւ պիտի նկատուի հաշիւին մէջ։ Ձեռնուիլ եւ փաթթուիլ պէտք չէ ըլլայ։ Բոլոր անոնք որոնք եկեղեցի կ'այցելեն, պարտին դիմակ կրել։ Հաճեցէք միշտ ձեր անձնական դիմակները հայթայթել։ Նշանակուած անձ մը ձեր անունները պիտի արձանագրէ եւ ձեր տեղերը առաջնորդէ։ Պատարագի դրամահաւաքի պնակը չպիտի դարձուի, այլ պիտի դրուի եկեղեցւոյ նախասրահի մէջ, ուր ելլած ատէն պիտի կարենաք ձեր նուէրները դնել։ ԶԳՈՒՇԱՑՈՒՄ Բոլոր այն անձերը որոնք հիւանդանալու բարձր կարելիութիւն ունին նախընտրելի է որ տունը մնան։ Եկեղեցի չէք կրնար մտնել եթէ հետեւեալ կէտերէն որեւէ մէկը կը կիրարկուի. 1. ձեր անմիջական շրջանակին կամ ընտանիքին մէջ ոեւէ մէկը վարակուած է Գովիտ-19-ով եւ կամ ունին հետեւեալ ախտանշանները՝ 2. ջերմութիւն, 3. հազ, 4. կոկորդի ցաւ, 5. հոտառութեան կամ համի զգալի պակաս, 6. Օնթարիօ նահանգէն դուրս ճամբորդած էք։ 20
