GREETINGS From your Lieutenant Governor Hello Toucans! Happy Holidays! The great two-week long break from school is upon us, and the New Year is fast approaching. Please stay safe during this holiday madness, and spend quality time with your family! While you take a break from school, please remember to keep DCON in your thoughts! DCON registration is due no later than January 24th, so it’s important that you build up hype now and get members interested in signing up. In addition to DCON, I am pleased to announce another big district event: DANCE 2 ELIMINATE! Dance 2 Eliminate will be held to benefit the Eliminate Project, and will be hosted at our own Woodinville High School in Division 27! Key Clubbers from all over the Seattle area will be coming to dance, so I encourage all of you to come meet other people from the PNW as well! Also, please welcome our new Lieutenant Governor Elect, Julienne Renne, from Woodinville High School! She will be representing our lovely division next year, and will be installed onto the next District Board in March. If you have any questions about anything, please be sure to ask! With love and in caring service,
Josh Kim Lieutenant Governor, Division 27

GREETINGS From your Lieutenant Governor Elect
Hello Key Clubbers! I am so honored to be to be your Lieutenant Governor for 2015 and 2016. I’m sure there’s a lot in store for this year, but with whatever comes my way I will be sure to accomplish that task with absolutely nothing other than my best effort. Key Club is my number one priority and I can’t wait to see what comes along with this coming year and I definitely can’t wait to reach out and meet even more Key Clubbers! Go Toucans!
Julienne Renne

WHETHER THEY SUFFER FROM COMMON CHILDHOOD AFFLICTIONS LIKE ASTHMA AND BROKEN BONES, OR FIGHT BIGGER CHALLENGES LIKE BIRTH DEFECTS OR CANCER, CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS PROVIDE COMFORT, TREATMENT AND HOPE TO MILLIONS OF SICK KIDS. UNICEF does whatever it takes to save and protect the world's most vulnerable children. Forty years ago, UNICEF figured out that promoting simple, low-cost interventions like hand washing and breastfeeding could save millions of lives. Undaunted by war or geography, UNICEF delivers.
march of dimes “FOR MOMS AND BABIES EVERYWHERE” In local communities across the country, we're helping moms take charge of their health, and supporting families when something goes wrong. The March of Dimes also acts globally: sharing best practices in perinatal health and helping improve birth outcomes where the needs are the most urgent.

$1.80 USD is enough to save a baby
This year, the Kiwanis Family has made a huge impact in our project to Eliminate MNT. Babies now die once every 11 minutes instead of once every 9! With the Eliminate Project officially coming to a close in 2015, there is still a long way to go until the K-Family reaches the $110 million mark!

The Pacific Northwest is geographically the largest district of Key Club International. The district spans from Western Canada to Northern California: with Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and the panhandle of Idaho in between. The Pacific Northwest encompasses nearly 1.8 million square miles and includes over 300 clubs that operate under 45 divisions.
