PARLIAMENT AND CIVICS EDUCATION REBATE (PACER) Designed to provide a subsidy for schools travelling more than 150 kilometres to visit the national capital as part of a civics and citizenship education excursion. Schools must visit Parliament House, Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House or the Electoral Education Centre and the Australian War Memorial. Where possible participate in an education programme at these institutions. The rebate is available for year 4 to year 12 students and is paid on a per student basis at rates varying from $20 to $260 per student* with funds to be used to reduce the costs for individual students. Today start the day with a Captain Cook Harbour Cruise around Sydney Harbour. Next visit the pylon lookout at Sydney Harbour Bridge and walk across the bridge. The coach will pick you up and take you to Manly. Explore the Manly area and have a fish and chips dinner (at your own expense). This evening take part in the quarantine station ghost tour. It is known as one of the most haunted places in Australia. Day 3

This morning start with a visit to the Power House Museum. It has changing exhibitions and a technology special effects exhibition. Next visit the famous Madame Tussauds. Have your photo taken with your favourite celebrities and historical figures. This afternoon you have free time to explore Darling Harbour. (You may decide to include an activity such as a walk around the Watson’s Bay area and The Gap, an Opera House Tour, a ferry ride or a visit to Wet n Wild.) G·E·T Educational Tours can accept no responsibility for any additional charges, or inability to travel as a result of incorrect notification of passenger names. Deposits & Payments A non refundable deposit is payable within 30 days of confirmation with final names lists required 30 days prior to departure. Full payment for air, rail and sea travel is required 65 days prior to travel. GST will be charged on the full payment. A deposit of $20 per student is required for itineraries valued at $200 or less, $50 per student for itineraries from $201 to

Travel Insurance We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for students & escorts. This should be valid for the full duration of your itinerary. Luggage When travelling by air free luggage allowances will be strictly enforced with excess baggage carried by airlines at their discretion and at passengers own expense. Note most full service airlines offer a 20kg free baggage allowance. Some low cost airlines may offer a lower allowance or levy an additional charge for baggage.
Law of Contract G•E•T Educational Tours and its suppliers, including airlines, do not accept liability in contract or in tort (actionable wrong) for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly, or indirectly by force majeure or other events beyond our control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on its part including, but not limited to, war, civil disturbance, fire, flood, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government or other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment, or industrial action (whether or not involving its employees and even though such action may be settled by acceding to the demands of a labour group).
