The Coop opened its doors in 1995. Over the years it has become one of the must stops for quilters. The walls are lined with a sea of colour, over 4500 bolts of quilting cottons, notions books and kits. The entire store is covered in many samples to inspire you to make your next project. The Coop also carries unique arrangements of fabric such as eggrolls, omelettes, chicken strips, chicken nuggets and popcorn chicken. The Coop also prides itself with great customer service, always a friendly smile willing to help you with your next project. Be sure to join The Coop every 3rd weekend in August for the Annual Chicken Coop Quilt Show.

Did you know that east central Alberta was once home to the largest settlement of Ukrainian pioneers in Canada? Come travel back through time and visit Alberta's premiere Ukrainian-themed attraction. This outdoor living history museum tells the story of Ukrainian settlement in east central Alberta and allows visitors to meet costumed role-players portraying real characters from 1892 – 1930. Explore over 30 historic buildings restored to their original condition including three churches of Eastern Byzantine Rite. Enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride, eat authentic Ukrainian food at the Kalyna Cafe, or purchase handicrafts from local artisans and specialty items from the gift shop.
Established in 1951, the collection of the Basilian Fathers Museum preserves the history of both the Ukrainian pioneers who settled in the Beaver Lake area and the Basilian Fathers, who arrived in Canada in 1902. The museum site includes the Pioneer Chapel, which has been moved from its original location on the Basilian Fathers' homestead-farm. The museum is also adjacent to the Basilian Fathers' current complex, which includes Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, the grotto, and several other historical monuments which are accessible by the public.
Enjoy Alberta’s famous Mundare Ukrainian Sausage and other delicious deli meats and homemade Ukrainian specialty foods. Groups can get a special behindthe-scenes tour at this unique processing plant. Get your picture taken at the World’s Largest Kubasa monument commemorating 53 years of sausage making.
