Programs, Services, and Resources to help you during and after the COVID-19 Pandemic. We understand that finding information and navigating the system in rural Alberta can be difficult. FCSS will help you get connected. Help Posters: FCSS assembles lists of local agencies, toll-free numbers, and online supports that you can call, text or access online to get the help you need. One-on-One Assistance: FCSS Community Programmers can help you through the hard times and find the programs and services that you need. Community Counselling Program: We offer affordable, short-term counselling to address a range of issues, including those relating to the impact of COVID-19. If you don’t have extended health care benefits, this program uses a sliding fee scale. Financial Empowerment Resources: We’re here to help you find the information and resources you need to help you meet your financial needs. Vegreville Family Resource Network (FRN): Provides services and supports based on the needs of families, children, and youth. The FRN focuses on child development and well-being, caregiver capacity building supports, social supports and connections. Call 780-632-2912

Child & Youth Programs: Will be offered either online or in-person when it’s safe to do so. •Babysitter’s Course: We teach the basics of safe babysitting to youth 11 years old and up. •Sizzlin’ Summer: A fun skill development day camp that is offered during the summer for children 6 – 12 years •Junior Leader Program: This summer program is designed for youth aged 12 to 15 years who have a passion for leadership and working with children. •Afterschool Programming: These programs provide connection, skill development, snacks, & activities. Meals On Wheels: A service that provides hot noon time meals to residents that are unable to cook for themselves due to disability or recent hospitalization. Seniors’ Link-In Calls: Using just a regular telephone, older adults can join group phone calls to connect with others and learn new things. It’s free, it’s easy, and it’s local! Housekeeping Program: We assist eligible people with the application process and coordination of light housekeeping. Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP): Connects eligible individuals with free help in completing their tax returns.
