Almost 100 orcas (killer whales) live off Victoria’s coastline and are the focus of thrilling wildlife tours, especially between May and October. Humpback, grey and Minke whales may also be sighted, along with many bird species. From September to May, California and Stellar sea lions are frequently in these waters. Porpoises and harbour seals are seen year-round.
