TOURISM VICTORIA
DOCKSIDE GREEN
Victoria is the Cycling Capital of Canada, with more residents commuting by bike than anywhere else in the country. And when you do travel by car or air, you can count on Victoria to be green aware — after all, Victoria has been named the greenest transportation city in Canada. Well over 50% of Victoria’s taxis are hybrid vehicles and that impressive number continues to grow as we strive for 100%. Victoria is also home to North America’s first hybrid double-decker bus and first carbon-neutral airline. Victoria is also recognized as one of Canada’s greenest cities when it comes to new buildings and boasts more LEED standard buildings per capita than any other city in Canada. Furthermore, Victoria is home to the world’s highest scored LEED Platinum development and British Columbia’s first carbon-neutral hotel.
Victoria for Incentives You want your high achievers to feel special — to feel inspired, motivated and invigorated, as well as rewarded. Give them the travel experience of a lifetime.

Parliament Buildings and The Fairmont Empress Hotel. • The Crystal Garden opened in 1925 as the largest saltwater swimming pool in the Commonwealth. It also housed two leafy tea gardens and dance floors. It was a popular social centre for the city for decades and a haunt for many celebrities in its day.
