Tower Hill School is celebrating 100 years of excellence! Join us for an unforgettable weekend of green-and-white spirit as Hillers past and present gather to commemorate Tower Hill’s Centennial. We welcome all alumni, students, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, trustees and friends—past and present—to celebrate our extraordinary school together. The Centennial Convocation and Gala will be the weekend’s signature highlights, and there are many fun and festive activities planned for the whole family. We will see you in September! Founders’ Day and All-School Pep Rally

2 p.m., DeGroat Field Students will share history about Tower Hill’s founders, followed by the Upper School band leading a spirited pep rally. All are welcome!

Friday, Sept. 20 Forever Green and White Reception

5-7 p.m., Centennial Tent Salute all former Tower Hill faculty, trustees and board chairs and pick up a copy of the commemorative book 100 Years of Teaching Excellence at Tower Hill School. This reception is open to the entire THS community and also recognizes alumni reunion classes ending in “9” and “4.” Green and white attire is encouraged!

Reunion Class Dinners

Reunion dinners for classes ending in “9” and “4” will be held off-site after the Forever Green and White Reception. If you are interested in helping plan your reunion, please contact the Advancement Office at 302-657-8353 or thsalumni@towerhill.org.

THS Artists and Authors Show Opening Reception

7-9 p.m., Founders’ Gallery in the du Pont Arts Center More than 120 Tower Hill alumni, faculty and parents in the arts and letters will display their books and works of art in this one-of-a-kind Multa Bene Facta extravaganza. The Founders’ Gallery will also be open all day on Saturday.

Parking will be available on the University of Delaware’s Wilmington Campus.

Saturday, Sept. 21

Centennial Convocation 10 a.m., Centennial Tent Join Head of School Bessie Speers, students, faculty, dignitaries and honored guests for the moment when Tower Hill officially turns 100 years old! The pomp and circumstance of an academic procession, student music and Tower Hill memories throughout the decades will unite Hillers of today and yesterday. All are encouraged to attend. The following honors will be presented: Founders’ Achievement Awards Timothy B. Golding Endowed Faculty Chair in English

Parking is available on the University of Delaware’s Wilmington Campus, located opposite Tower Hill directly across Kennett Pike (Route 52), with shuttles to and from the Centennial Tent.

Saturday, Sept. 21 All School Barbecue*

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Alumni House Tent The entire Tower Hill community is invited to enjoy a barbecue lunch next to the Timothy B. Golding Alumni House. *Reunion class years ending in “9” and “4” and alumni who already celebrated their 50th reunion are invited to a special luncheon at Hayward House. Group class photos will be taken at this time.

Story Corps Booth

1-3 p.m., Stop by the Communications Office near the Main Entrance Lobby to record your favorite Tower Hill memories in a Story Corps-style video project to be posted online. The Tower Hill History exhibit is located right across the hall.

Tower Hill’s Past, Present and Future

1:30 p.m., 1919 Auditorium Alumni, faculty and students join Head of School Bessie Speers for a panel discussion. The Distinguished Alumni Award and Young Alumni Award will be presented.
