ENGINEERING FOR KIDS – VIRTUAL CODING PROGRAM: ELECTRONIC GAME DESIGN Age: 8 to 12 years Location: Zoom

This program will have the students to become software engineers and design their very own video game that can be played over and over. Students will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to identify and capture the rules of play and characters for the game. Then, by using the specific software, they bring the storyboard to life with programming. At the end of the program, everyone takes home a working Electronic game. This program empowers the students by the basics of coding and robotics in an exciting interdisciplinary STEM field. The course is powered by an Online Robotics Learning Environment which provides online simulation, a visual code editor and live interaction with the instructor and other students. ENGINEERING FOR KIDS – 3D DESIGN PROGRAM Age: 8 to 12 years Location: Zoom

3D Design/Modeling is one of the most widely applicable and fun inventions on the tech scene today. In the 3D design program, we will explore the basic concepts of 3D computer-aided design, or CAD, to design and create our very own 3D object. Students will also learn how and why 3D printing has been evolving rapidly over the past few months in response to the needs of health communities. This program will enhance your child’s creativity and bring their inspiring stories to life incorporating the 12 principles of animation. In this program, children will animate their own characters, create animated shorts and a final cartoon movie while developing logical thinking skills. Using Scratch (from MIT), a fun and easy to use multimedia software, kids will have great adventures creating games and animations. Welcome to the world of chemistry. Children will experiment with different reactions, and learn to use the tools that chemists use. Polymers and catalysts are only two of the fascinating concepts young scientists explore in this thrilling trip through the chemistry lab.
