Furtniture Bank
SUPPLYING THE MISSING PIECES
HopeNow Furniture Bank’s mission is to provide household goods free of charge to those individuals and families of Knox County struggling to furnish their own home due to poverty and other challenging life experiences.
Those needing assistance should call 740-358-1277. After leaving a name and telephone number on the answering machine, you will receive a return phone call at which time you are interviewed regarding your needs and qualifications for our services. Then, according to our inventory on hand, an appointment is set for the client to come to the warehouse at 1201 South Main Street in Mount Vernon to pick out furniture.
A HNFB team member will walk through the warehouse with the client, assisting in choosing items previously requested. From the basic core furniture items, a client may choose a mattress, box spring and frame, dresser, sofa or love seat, a soft chair, dining table and chairs, an end table or bookshelf. Clients will also be offered bed linens, dishes, and kitchen items from our housewares selection.
All items are in good, usable condition, clean and free of stains or tears. Together, we’re giving hope now to local families!
