Wednesdays at 11:15 Live Story Times are back! You can’t beat the lively combination of books, finger plays, rhymes, songs, movement activities and more to help reinforce a lifelong love of learning while building language and literacy skills. Saturdays, December 3, 2022; January 28, 2023; and February 25, 2023 10am – 2pm Mt Diablo Room, Danville Library Don't miss the Friends of the Danville Library's Pop-up Book Sales, held once a month on Saturdays, 10am-2pm, in the Mt. Diablo Room! You can't beat the prices at the Friends' monthly sales with most books priced at $2 for hard cover and $1 for paperback. Choose from a large selection of children's books, non-fiction, hardcover and paperback fiction, plus biography/memoir, classics, cookbooks, art, vintage, mysteries, and more. In addition, there's always a large selection of newer fiction titles. The Friends Bookstore is now also open Mondays – Saturdays, 10am-5pm. All proceeds benefit the Danville Library.
BE A FRIEND! The Friends of the Danville Library contribute annually to the our Library through sales in the Library Bookstore and special book sale events. All proceeds benefit the Library’s adult and children’s programs, its events, as well as the purchase of new books and materials. But we need YOU to continue that support. So "Be a Friend" and pick up a membership form in the Bookstore. Fratello Marionettes presents the puppet extravaganza, The North Pole Review! Children’s Reading Room, Danville Library Saturday, December 31 at 12pm Twas the day before New Year’s and in the Reading Room, all the children were ready to ring in the new year at noon. Families enjoyed stories and songs, festive favors, and more, even a celebratory bubble wrap stomp on the floor! And when it was over, the delight and the din, all were happy and ready for 2023 to begin! Join the Danville Library in celebrating the New Year with this fun Family Story Hour and a festive treat!
